"Minou, Minou, Minou"

"Minou, Minou, Minou"

Calling all French kitties

and other felines of Blogland.

To celebrate this big boy!

Baby Kitty

is 8 years old today.

Those of us who follow along at Confessions of a Plate Addict know of Debbie's famous staff and her love of all things French. The days of actual pets living here at HFTS were long ago, but we do love a party and wanted to join in the fun.

The Plate Addict Staff is here and ready to party!

So put on your party hat and join the fun.

Our purrrr-fectly paired aristocats are here.

Lilike, the sweet Hungarian mama cat

and her little Duci are eager to join in the fun.

Our hostess today is mademoiselle Gabrielle, le chat.

She is the essence of French country style.

You can read more about Gabrielle and her French friends here.

Gabrielle has brewed cat nip tea

and filled the party bowls with crunchy treats.

This handsome Frenchy is Monsieur Alexandre.

Mademoiselle Angelique, le chat du jardin,

has a fresh bouquet for Baby Kitty.

Bijou has filled her baskets

with Baby Kitty's favorite crunchy, kitty treats.

Sadly this dearest of kitties arrivied en détresse.

In a rush to join the group

~ catastrophe! ~

Her pretty little head crashed to the floor.

How's that for a "blogging blooper", Susan?

Her wobbly head was an accident waiting to happen!

I think she looks like a piece of MacKenzie-Childs,

but actually she's just a copycat

and was a thrifty Goodwill find.

Not that her pedigree makes us

any less sad about this unfortunate accident.

Angelique and Alexandre quickly rushed to her

aide and put the pieces back together again.

Just like Humpty Dumpty!

So the paw-ty could go on as planned!

Tuna cake for the Birthday Boy.

Solid Light Tuna

Only the best for you, Baby Kitty!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY,

BABY KITTY!

It's time for a Kitty Cat Linky Party!

The summer we married, my husband was in graduate school, and I was employed as a teacher. We took a portion of our savings that summer and purchased a sailboat. We christened our Catalina 22, “Hyacinths For The Soul” after Saadi’s poem. Our "Hyacinths" provided years of pleasure.

Your vignettes are beautiful and and the stories so adorable. They make me smile while reading them. I'm so sorry one of your dearest kitties met with and unfortunate accident. I think kitty looks just fine after her repair, and she holds her own with the Herend Kitties of high society. Adorable

  12. Sarah, thanks for visiting. No I didn't do the pillow on the bed, but when I saw it in a little shop while visiting my parents in Fayettville TN, I knew I had to have it. I think it was the most I'd ever spent on a pillow. $99, for me that is a lot of money for a pillow, but I've continued to use it all over my home and still love it.

  21. Very cute post! And of course what really caught my eye was the Courtly Check pedestal cake platter - to die for!! And that cat certainly does look like an MC piece (someone did a good job of copying the patterns!)

  24. Happy Pink Saturday Sarah Sweetie...
Oh my goodness what a simply delightful and purrrfect share today. I love the cat most of all. Now that is downright clever. Leave it to you to come up with something SO precious. I love it. Candle and all.

Sorry to hear about the headcident. What a shame, whether it be a goodwill find or the real thing. Glued back together just like Humpty Dumpty. I Love it, and she has such character now. You did a great job.

Mademoiselle Gabrielle is simply gorgeous. The hostess with the mostess. I love her party hat, and her little scarf is so elegant. Even remembered the cat nip tea.

Simply delightful Sarah. Simply delightful. Thank you for allowing me to attend as well this evening. I had a grand time at Hyacinths for the Soul this evening. Many hugs and much love from Phoenix, Sherry

  26. Love love love this post. Our Regan was most upset by the unfortunate accident that befell The sweet girl with the fish. He's glad that all her pieces were still there. He says that when he knocks things over, he swipes a piece just so his missus can't put humpty back together again! Charming! xo marlis
