We Pardoned the Turkey




We pardoned the turkey here at HFTS.

Rack of Lamb is on the menu.

The summer we married, my husband was in graduate school, and I was employed as a teacher. We took a portion of our savings that summer and purchased a sailboat. We christened our Catalina 22, “Hyacinths For The Soul” after Saadi’s poem. Our "Hyacinths" provided years of pleasure.

    I laughed when I read you were having lamb. When my girls were young, Grandma used to bring a lamb chop for our eldest daughter, Peggy, who didn't like turkey. After all, what are grandparents for, if not to spoil the grandchildren?

    I bet the turkey was very glad his life was saved this year! I bet the lamb was delicious. I would much rather eat lamb than turkey myself too. I love lamb!

    This table is beautifully set, Sarah~ Love the woodland theme w/browns and gold. I just put up a tree yesterday with that color scheme. Ya know, sometimes it's good to go non-traditional for a menu. Nothing wrong with that. I think I would even like an Italian feast! hmmmm......

    Yes, ma'am....we are all very proud of our Deeds. She not only is about the most beautiful almost-10 year old..she is the smartest. :) Now, doesn't THAT sound just like a grandmother. I am sure others will read this and beg to differ with me. :))
