Detail of Silver Bride's Basket
Saturday was the inaugural of Food for Thought, an exciting new blog launched by Jain @ Once in a Blue Moon. I found myself absorbed in creating a post to share about VAN GOGH'S TABLE AT THE AUBERGE RAVOUX and let time escape. Then I suddenly realized that it's once again time for Silver Sunday. As one who definitely likes silver, I have enjoyed visiting all the Silver Sunday posts of the past two weeks. Beth only plans to host this meme through February 7, and I didn't want to miss this week. I suddenly found myself polishing silver and thinking about what I might share.
Well, with time of the essence and Valentine's Day just a few weeks away, I decided to reach into my photo files for a bit of silver with a touch of Valentine's Day.
Click here to read my review about VAN GOGH'S TABLE AT THE AUBERGE RAVOUX if you are interested. I highly recommend this book for those who are lovers of art, food, and France. And I highly recommend a visit to Food for Thought where you will find delightfully "edible" book reviews.
Thanks to our delightful hostess Beth @ Gypsy Fish Journal. Click here to see a list of all who have a Silver Sunday post for this week.

The summer we married, my husband was in graduate school, and I was employed as a teacher. We took a portion of our savings that summer and purchased a sailboat. We christened our Catalina 22, “Hyacinths For The Soul” after Saadi’s poem. Our "Hyacinths" provided years of pleasure.
