The summer we married, my husband was in graduate school, and I was employed as a teacher. We took a portion of our savings that summer and purchased a sailboat. We christened our Catalina 22, “Hyacinths For The Soul” after Saadi’s poem. Our "Hyacinths" provided years of pleasure.

I especially like the rooster ones...I had a rooster lamp once...bought it on a trip and dropped it at the airport and broke it into a hundred pieces :( The right lamp can be difficult to come by and it looks like you have got quite a gift for choosing some great ones.

I love little lamps scattered throughout rooms because they warm-up dark corners in rooms. You have so many pretty lamps, Sarah.
