The summer we married, my husband was in graduate school, and I was employed as a teacher. We took a portion of our savings that summer and purchased a sailboat. We christened our Catalina 22, “Hyacinths For The Soul” after Saadi’s poem. Our "Hyacinths" provided years of pleasure.

  5. Sarah, I am a lamp lover, and you really have some beauties. Oh my! That carved Alabaster is incredible. I love the painted roosters on the base of one of them too. Of course, I enjoyed seeing your accessories around them too. All of that wonderful French pottery. You have accessorized the areas around your lamps so beautifully. laurie

Your alabaster lamp is such an unusual color. Gorgeous!

  13. All your lamps are wonderful. If I HAD to choose a fav, it would be the hand painted rooster one. :) However, they are all lovely.
Your post reminded me that, somewhere in my drafts, I have a post with all MY lamps...most of them are packed away or given away now but maybe I can find my old post.

  26. What a wonderful collection of lamps, Sarah. I especially like the rooster ones...I had a rooster lamp once...bought it on a trip and dropped it at the airport and broke it into a hundred pieces :( The right lamp can be difficult to come by and it looks like you have got quite a gift for choosing some great ones.
