The summer we married, my husband was in graduate school, and I was employed as a teacher. We took a portion of our savings that summer and purchased a sailboat. We christened our Catalina 22, “Hyacinths For The Soul” after Saadi’s poem. Our "Hyacinths" provided years of pleasure.

  14. What fantastic collections and vignettes, Sarah!
You have so many great things. That quilt sure caught my eye. I have one I bought at a flea market and the couple told me it was very old.
(When I got home, I found a made in China tag on it.... not old at all!)

Oh well. I still love it and it goes to every parade and picnic with us.

Thanks for always linking up, sweet friend!

What a lovely post and I did visit Evi's blog as well. Thanks for pointing us towards her lovely postings.
Strange story about your Bloglovin not functioning. Guess what I just found out, there is someone with a blog from 2010 that is called: hyacinthsforthesoul... The plural form of your hyacinth. But your feed is showing up on my sidebar and anyone can follow you by adding your home blog-page to their sidebar as well.
You have such a lovely patriotic collection and I do wish you a lovely 4th of July!
    Hugs,

We just returned from a trip all around the hill country...we stayed at the Peach Tree Inn in Fredericksburg, and rambled around the area for most of a week. It is our favorite vacation area, and we usually manage to visit there at least once a year. You are so fortunate to live in such a lovely part of the country!
    Blessings to you,
