A recent visit to a favorite antique venue
yielded the little creamer above.
The buzzing bees on the honeycomb texture
spoke to my bee loving esthetic, but I also
immediately knew this little jewel would serve
as my inspiration for this summer tablescape.
Summertime and the livins easy, so I filled it
with a simple mix of flowers from my garden.
~ Orange Day Lily and Mexican Hat ~
My patch of Mexican Hat coneflowers were a gift
from the birds. These perennial wildflowers are excellent for
pollinator conservation and bloom from May well into fall.
Yes, the livins easy with a
simple table for two on the terrace.
The livins even easier
with these enamelware dishes!

Bee Hive and Sunflowers by
Mary Lake-Thompson for The Golden Rabbit
buzzes onto most of our casual, everyday tables.
It's such a joyful pattern!
Obviously a little buzzing bee theme going on here.
The charming bee napkins are from my favorite linen source,
The silver napkin rings are also from
Crown Linen Design.
The brass bees are from MacKenzie-Childs.
I slipped a few flower stems in with the
Caspari bamboo picnic ware.
easy livin with its fresh sophisticated style.
Please leave a comment before buzzing off to
Cecilia's beautiful Summer Garden Tea for Two.
Let me know what you do to make summer easy.
Thanks for stopping by.
May you enjoy a summer of easy livin!

ReplyDeleteSo delightful Sarah! I love bee themed things too, and your new creamer is so pretty, and perfect with your Mary Lake Thompson plates...and of course Courtly Check blends in perfectly! I love your furry photo bomber, she thinks you need to set a table for 3! Happy Summer Sarah!
ReplyDeleteJenna
What a sweet little setting, as a gardener I know to cherish the bees, but frankly miss Sadie stole the show!
ReplyDeleteSarah, your tables are always eye-candy! Finding the perfect little creamer set your wheels in motion for this beautiful bee-themed table. The MLT plates are so lovely as are your bee details. I always enjoy a seat at your table...Happy Tuesday!
ReplyDeleteSarah such a lovely table with your bee accessories. The Mary Lake Thompson plates are so pretty with the yellow and bees. I own a couple of designs from her. Courtly check always fits right in every table. The sweet bee creamer is lovely filled with orange day lilies and Mexican hat. Sadie is adorable. Always a pleasure Sarah to hop along with you. Happy summer
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful table, Sarah! I wish I could send you a piece of the "bee" cake I made for Cork Poppers -- it would go perfectly with it. Love your sweet pitcher. That's especially pretty and of course the flowers in your checks and the plates just set it off perfectly!
ReplyDeleteSarah, I love all things apian! Your post is the bee's knees! So cute, and it's always fun to catch-up with Sadie!

Sarah, I love anything bee themed, and your table is precious! Your new antique find is a perfect addition to your table and looks so pretty with the orange lilies. Your plates are so beautiful along with all of your bumble bee touches. Happy Summer!
ReplyDeleteSarah, I love my bee friends as well! Those beehive plates and vintage mug are darling. And your sweet dog babies look - really melts your heart :)
ReplyDeleteHappy summer.
and yourdogs
Sarah, there are so many things I love about your summer table! First that adorable creamer adorned with bees! Second is those Mexican hat flowers - how adorable! But your plate stack is stunning. I love everything about it. Sliding the flat wear into the napkin ring is a nice touch and really makes the black linen napkin pop! So very pretty!
ReplyDeleteCute bee theme - when I saw the tiger lilies i peeked outside to see if our are ready to bloom and then I remembered they bloom around the 4th July! I love them!
ReplyDeleteYour bee themed table is just lovely and so perfect for a summery table in the garden. Your MacKenzie Childs chargers make a great base for your pretty plates! I am all for the bees and am so happy the public has become aware of how important they are!
ReplyDeleteHi Sarah, your tablescape is lovely. It has been so long since I have visited. I am really trying to organize my blog comments and visit many blogs. It seems blogger changes so many little technical items it is hard to catch up. I hope you are having a wonderufl week. Take care.
ReplyDeleteSuch a cute table, Sarah, just buzzing with summer joy! Bees are always a favorite theme of mine and I adore so many of your bee-utiful pieces, like your new pitcher, your glassware and especially those plates!! But your puppy is kind of stealing he show!! I hope you enjoy the rest of your summer, it is always a pleasure to hop with you!❤️☀️
ReplyDeleteSarah, I always love to see what you'll pull from your wonderful inventory of tableware and linens. Not only do you find the unique (the creamer is buzzing with great vintage style!), but unique can also describe your finesse in styling. I just love it. The Mary Lake Thompson plates are fantastic, and I'm wondering how many pieces of that line you have?! Those Mexican Hat flowers are also unique in my book, as I've not seen them in our region (but I love that quirky appearance). Sadie wants to know why the table isn't set for three, or else she's found her seat already. ;) Great styling, Sarah!
ReplyDeleteI love how you pulled your bee-themed setting from the charming little creamer. The enamelware has the perfect pattern for a summer table and everything looks pretty with checks. What a lovely way to enjoy a summer evening.........Your tables always inspire Sarah! Happy Summer.
ReplyDeleteOh, Sarah, your table is exquisite!!! I love your bee plates, your colors, EVERYTHING!! Thank you so much for sharing. Bravo!

ReplyDeleteSarah, your table is full of beautiful details. The buzzing bee theme is darling. Love your pretty creamer that started you vision. Summer easy livin is wonderful - I just wish it wasn’t quite so hot!!
ReplyDeleteSarah, what a cute inspiration for your easy livin bee theme tablescape. It displays your flowers beautifully. I love how you mix it up with the black and white from McKenzie Childs collection. And your adorable puppy is first to arrive at the gorgeous table. He is so sweet. He knows a stylish table when he sees it. Have a great summer!

ReplyDelete🐝 utiful! Such an exquisite collection of bee designed tableware, plates, and linens all curated to make the most wonderful table!! Thank you for the 🐝 inspiration Sarah!
ReplyDeleteSarah, my vintage loving heart was instantly drawn to your pitcher. Was it made in Japan? I love it with the arrangement of tiger lillies and coneflowers. I agree that using enamelware dishes makes summer entertaining easy! I've never them with a bee motif. They're so cute paired with the Mackenzie Childs checked chargers. It was fun hopping with you. Have a wonderful summer!
