eating meals with Santa.
This same friend also has an activity table
set up in the corner of her family room beside
the Christmas tree. Her grands can sit there and
color, play games, work puzzles, etc.
She thinks of everything.
The summer we married, my husband was in graduate school, and I was employed as a teacher. We took a portion of our savings that summer and purchased a sailboat. We christened our Catalina 22, “Hyacinths For The Soul” after Saadi’s poem. Our "Hyacinths" provided years of pleasure.

Your friend must be a very popular grandmother! It doesn't take much, does it? Some creativity, a little effort and imagination and a willingness to make space for the little ones. I'm taking a page out of her book.
