The summer we married, my husband was in graduate school, and I was employed as a teacher. We took a portion of our savings that summer and purchased a sailboat. We christened our Catalina 22, “Hyacinths For The Soul” after Saadi’s poem. Our "Hyacinths" provided years of pleasure.

  24. Hi Sarah! Love the hyacinths. I planted bulbs one year to come up at the same time as dark pink tulips, and quite a delightful combo it was. Yours remind me of that fabulous February bloom here. Thank you so much for your kind words about Filigree Moon at Gypsy Fish today. You are such a dear! Happy Valentine's Day to you too! ~ Angela

  34. I'm not sure which I'd rather have....that gorgeous silver vase or those BEAUTIFUL hyacinths! It would be a tough choice.

The only flower that could compete with this one for my most favorite award would be lily of the valley. Both heavenly scents & so full of memories for me.

    Lovely photo, Sarah!
