Last week I invited you to
join me for Cocktails On The Terrace here.
Both mornings and evenings have recently offered
up pleasant breezes, so this week I thought you might
like to join me for Breakfast On The Terrace.
This cheerful tray is from Le Cadeaux.
~ Fleur de Provence Yellow ~
A neighbor's recent return from a week in Provence
has me reminiscing about our own past
summer provencal vacances.
No summer trips for us this year,
so I have to make my summer fun here.
Join me for a little provencal escape.
Since retirement, I no
longer get up with the roosters,
but occasionally one will join me for breakfast.
This handsome fellow, surrounded by some of the
traditional "les indiennes" designs of the South of France,
was a thrift store find. I paid all of $3.00
for this delightful needlepoint pillow.
Most mornings I have a bowl
of lemon yogurt with fresh berries.
Since you are joining me today
I sliced up some fresh cantaloupe and
made another batch of lemon blueberry muffins.
You'll find the recipe here when I shared them for
Foodie Friday Mystery Ingredient Club #1.
Coffee, dark and rich,
served in these sunny mugs.
~ Printemps by Sigma ~
I guarantee these
lemon blueberry muffins
are some of best ever!
I may just linger a while longer with my
daydreams of sunny provence.
Thanks for stopping by.
Well, what can I say my dear Sarah? Just give me the address of your delightful Bed and Breakfast and I will be right over. Your lemon yogurt made my mouth water :-) Veronique (French Girl in Seattle)

ReplyDeleteDearest Sarah,
ReplyDeleteLOVE your Provençal breakfast setting! Happy yellow and orange colors do make you wake up a happier person instantly!
Also your yellow white matelassé tablecloth is perfect for creating this Provençal setting.
I do envy you for being able to use your terrace. We have yet to have our first meal outdoors... It is too wet and we still have Flash Flood Watch in place and personally we're fighting the water 24/7 since Sunday. Three nights I've done my shift in emptying the two wet vacs and mopping up water with our Dutch cloths or 'Witte Dweilen' http://bit.ly/13HaiKo
Let's hope soon we can enjoy our breakfast, lunch, tea or supper on the balcony...
It was a joy to see yours!
Hugs,
Mariette

So pretty, Sarah. I love the colors, the quilt, and the garden setting.
ReplyDeleteThanks for coming by. The rooster vase is from a little local shop in St Louis. Three French Hens. I've had it about three years. I don't think the shop has them any more. You might try googling Charles Faudree rooster vase. I hadn't thought of doing that until just now. Ebay might have something, also. Now I am curious.
Enjoy your weekend.
I would love to sit and have breakfast with you on your lovely terrace. However, you would come up short a pillow:)Just sayin'!~

The shape of that sweet yellow bowl for your yogurt.

Sarah,
ReplyDeleteI could have sworn I commented on this wonderful breakfast on the terrace, but don't see my comment. I've come back for another look at all the loveliness. It was a really hot day here today, too hot to eat outside, but looking at your inviting terrace was a virtual escape to an outdoor cafe. Oh, to be in France!

Sarah,
ReplyDeleteJust as I was about to close your window, I spotted where you placed the info about my first blogiversary give-away at the very top of your sidebar followed very closely by the We Blog poster. I am so honored and thrilled that you not only choose to share about my blog, but that you placed the links at the top of your sidebar. Thank you, dear blogging friend.
