The summer we married, my husband was in graduate school, and I was employed as a teacher. We took a portion of our savings that summer and purchased a sailboat. We christened our Catalina 22, “Hyacinths For The Soul” after Saadi’s poem. Our "Hyacinths" provided years of pleasure.

    LOL...well Ms. Sarah I think you have just about every meme out there covered with your post tonight. I had to chuckle when I came to the end of your post.
    Also, I didn't know that you followed "Catalog Living". I always get a chuckle out of that site.
    I am truly impressed with your selection of ME Christmas and your black/white for MacKenzie-Childs. Don't you just love those ME stockings in the catalog? Your little tea set is just charming and oh so cute! Did you make the Santa cookie?

    I'm sorry to have missed commenting on several of your posts. DH was back in the hosp. with chest pain last week. No ♥ damage, thankfully but still very stressful. I'm behind on everything!

    I wish I had known about the book share Saturdays sooner!
    Not that I got my holiday book posts written, but the books are shaing my desktop right now.

    I found a very beautiful ME book at the thrift but it seemed all the gorgeous pictures were bound on the fold of the book, half on each page. Whose idea was that!

    Thanks for shaing some wonderful treasures with us.
    and I think you'll have to add this to Favorite Things parties and Lovin It!

    That Santa cookie is so cute! Did you make it? I really enjoyed your post! Great pictures and a nice message. I have that little blue and white tea set too. I had it in my daughter's room when she was a baby - then I put it away for awhile....wonder where it is now.

    I do believe Sarah! :) This was a delightful post full of the best of ME. She is one of my favorite illustrators.

    Macy's at Herald Square had the theme "Believe" this year. I loved their windows! I will blog about the Manhattan holiday store windows I saw next week. I think you will enjoy them too!
