Join me as I lament 3 or more roosters that I've left behind at shops. I'm consoling myself with a piece of chocolate. Go ahead, have one!
I didn't intend to post anything today, but I remembered these photos from a recent trip. I think you'll agree that these are some pretty wonderful roosters.
This one looks very French to me. I suspect he was modeled after a weather vane seen perched high on a roof top in the French countryside.
Look at this lovely guy! His crisp black and red would really add some punch to any kitchen.
I love the roosters. My house is full of them. Pictures, carvings, statues. Oh I love the roosters.
ReplyDeleteThose were awesome pictures of the roosters. How fun! Thank you for sharing. Have a wonderful week Sarah!
ReplyDeleteHugs and Glitter! Patti
More wonderful roosters, I wonder how you could bear to leave them behind?
ReplyDeleteHappy Tuesday

We have a very well know politician here in Belgium who is called De Haene (this is flemish for "the rooster") and he collects roosters too. The roosters on the first picture are wonderful and they are moddeled not on French rooftop weathervanes roosters but on church rooftop weathervanes. Almost all churches here in Belgium have rooster weathervanes on the top of there bell towers. Why roosters?? I do not know.
ReplyDeleteOk, fess up. How many roosters do you have? (If you already divulged, I missed it... probably looking at roosters instead of words :-)
ReplyDeleteGreat post!

Love the rooster pics. I am starting to get into roosters. I have a few in my dining room..... will see if I can participate in your rooster party on Friday. Gotta find those pictures :-)
ReplyDeleteThe roosters that never made it home (or your home anyways) are very nice. I have always admired them, but I have never gotten one for myself. Hmm...maybe I should get one. It could sit up high on my fridge. I remember from when I was a kid that the roosters would get up as high as they could and do there cockadoodadoodleing. Thank you for the very sweet comments on my grands. I love them so much, they are so much fun. Hugs, Cindy S
ReplyDeleteSarah, this is great. I love that you are posting roosters every day this week.
ReplyDeleteI still haven't taken my photos. I need to get busy.
What great roosters! I wonder if they are sad they did not go home with you.
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting me today! Hope you had a great day!!
Sarah, this is delightful....you are so dear!
ReplyDeleteHugs, Barb :-)
