Welcome to As American As Apple Pie On The 4th of JulyTea On TuesdayI recently found the vintage hooked piece and couldn't resist adding it to my ever evolving patriotic stash. It prompted my theme for today's post.
Thank you to my friends Mary @ Home Is Where The Boat Is and Pam @ Everyday Living for inviting me as a special guest today. It's always a pleasure to join these two talented ladies, and today we celebrate with a patriotic touch.
The wooden Uncle Sam is also a new to me piece this season. I've collected Uncle Sam folk art pieces for decades, and
obviously I didn't need to add another.
But. . . he has apples and an apple pie!
How could I not add this piece?
The "tea for one" set is by Grace's Teaware.I purchased two sets plus a stack of dessert plates
many years ago when shopping at Home Goods!
With the red and white stripes these pieces serve me well.
One for you and one for me!
I'm offering Celestial Seasonings' Cinnamon Apple Spice.
This herbal tea is caffeine free and "dominated by an
aromatic burst of sweet and spicy cinnamon and
the flavor of ripe, juicy apples."
It is warm here, and iced tea would also be appropriate,
but trust me, this tea is absolutely perfect hot along
side a slice of warm tasty and spicy apple pie.
Seriously, are your taste buds getting excited?
I generally make a complete pie, but at
times I also like to bake small individual pies.
You may choose slice or mini.
Shout out and big thank you to Mary for
introducing me to the handsome Rogers
silver plate Bicentennial pie server.
I'm indulging in a slice! The darling Chinoiserie napkins were
in a neighbor's yard sale.
I was thrilled to give them a new home.
Are you a Jelly Belly fan?
I am, especially when they are
red, white, and blue.
I also added a bowl of
sweet and salty snacks.
They are patriotic!
Blue fudge drizzled caramel corn,
red coated strawberry créme-flavored sandwich
cookies, and white coated mini pretzels.
Favorite Day ~ Summertime Treats
Thank you for joining me for a little
American Apple Pie with a cup of tea.
You know what they say,"An apple a day keeps the doctor away!"
I'm sure there will be more fun to be had in the months ahead as I play with dishes and decor for my summer patriotic vibe.

Good Morning my friend.
ReplyDeleteYes I will have a piece of apple pie. It looks delicious. I will sip my tea and gaze at all your beautiful collections. I am always amazed when I come for a visit. Your assemblages are always so gorgeous!
Thank you and happy Tuesday!
Nancy, thanks for stopping by and leaving a comment. Welcome! Yes, apple pie is a nice little breakfast bite on a summer morning. Happy Summer to you!
DeleteGood morning, Sarah. What a wonderful find the vintage hooked piece is to add to your patriotic stash! For those of us that collect, it is hard to resist just one more. This Uncle Sam with apples and an apple pie is unique and I am glad you added it to your collection. The Grace Teaware tea for one set is perfect for a patriotic table with its red and white stripes. Cinnamon apple spice tea sounds delicious and who can resist a slice of apple pie?! The Chinoiserie napkins are perfect. The sweet and salty snacks look festive and I am sure I would be grabbing a handful constantly. I always enjoy seeing your curated collections, you have a great eye for choosing the most fabulous items!
ReplyDeleteIt is a pleasure to have you join us for tea, Sarah. Wishing you a joy-filled day!
Pam, always a joy to join you and Mary. I get inspired and refreshed by you two friends. Thank you!
DeleteGood Morning Sarah, You have me craving apple pie this morning! 🥧 I always enjoy seeing your collections and adore your new Uncle Sam figure with apple pie…he’s in good company with all his fellow ‘uncles’ 😊 My MIL collected folk art figures and had several Uncle Sams that I wish I had given a home to. I love Grace Teaware and your ‘tea for one’ pots with the red stripes. I’ve admired your darling Chinoiserie napkins before…I want to go to a yard sale in your neighborhood. I know you must have been tickled to find your Rogers Bicentennial pie server…perfect to join your American Eagle items to celebrate the Red, White and Blue! Thank you so much for joining us for tea today. ☕Wishing you wonderful week ahead. Stay cool! ❤️🤍💙
ReplyDeleteMary, I am definitely enjoying the Rogers Bicentennial pie server. Thank you for introducing me. As I said in my comment on your post, I was late to the Bicentennial Party special tableware pieces. As a new bride, and limited budget with Monnie in graduate school, buying such treasures was not on the radar. We did have a full set of Noritake Spinnaker stoneware that had been a wedding gift. It was very heavy, but beautiful with it's deep indigo and white stylized sailing boats.
DeleteGood morning, Sarah! Your red striped teapots and cups are so striking and pretty on your patriotic table. I have a weakness for the Grace tea ware pieces. I have several different patterns. You are making me hungry this morning with that apple pie. I can almost taste it! All of the treats look yummy, and your tea selection sounds delightful. Wishing you a most lovely day, sweet friend! ReplyDeleteShannon, always a pleasure to have you join me. I agree about Grace Tea Ware. I have some in black and white too. Imagine that!
DeleteI am absolutely all in for a slice of apple pie and a cup of tea, Sarah. Your two new pieces of patriotic decor are darling, and irresistible. I love your Grace’s teaware stackables. They are darling. Thank you for your inspirational teatime to celebrate the red white and blue. ❤️ 🤍 💙
ReplyDeleteSarah, your tea time post is so pretty. Love your lovely collections of patriotic figures. Your new Uncles Sam with apple pie is adorable. A slice of apple pie sounds delicious with a cup of tea. Love the Grace red and white striped tea for one. So ,any goodies to enjoy. A wonderful post to celebrate America. 🇺🇸 How special to be invited to participate again and again with Mary and Pam. Happy summer.
ReplyDeleteHow darling, Sarah! I do love your Uncle Sam collection...what a fun and patriotic thing to collect! And I think you ABSOLUTELY NEEDED the Uncle Sam with the apple pie. Cute post, and the pie and tea look and sound delish!
ReplyDeleteSarah, you've assembled another collector- and magazine worthy tabletop! From the hooked piece & whimsical Uncle Sam to the actual pies baked, your theme is beautifully executed with those alone. Yet, you consistently layer your beautiful collections again here. The pie server is exquisite! And how lucky are you to snag those adorable napkins from your neighbor's yard sale??! The red & white tea for one are super cute (and would work for a circus theme too!), and the transferware egg cup for tea bags quite clever. The added sweets are fun additions (love that compote for the jelly beans!). Your invitation to Tea on Tuesdays inspires me!
ReplyDeleteI love your theme including apple pie Sarah, so perfect for this patriotic table! Love the rug and the needlepoint pillow, and those red stripe tea sets, so attractive! Your Uncle Sam collection is a showstopper, wow they are all so cute, I can't help but smile! Hooray for the red, white and blue 🇺🇸
ReplyDeleteJenna
This is just the pretties happy post, Sarah! Oh, that pie! I'd like a slice now and that server is gorgeous. And of course I always love your needlepoint. You couldn't pick a more appropriate tea set than this one and I love seeing you use your collections so beautifully! Happy Fourth (soon!)
ReplyDeleteI'm reading this in the afternoon here and I would love a piece of apple pie and your specialty tea! I have enjoyed seeing your Uncle Sam treasures for years and the new addition is right at home along with your collection. The little stripe tea set is so sweet and looks great with all your red, white and blue. I love seeing your patriotic collectibles, just perfect as we head into the Fourth of July celebrations. Hugs........
ReplyDeleteSarah, you set such a gorgeous patriotic tea table. And yes, that pie looks scrumptious!! I didn't get a chance to get back with you after your precious comment you left on my last post because I didn't have your email addy. It meant so much to me and I've loved every post you share. Thankyou for being a friend. I'm still around reading blogs, but I'm resting and looking toward the future. big hugs, Deb
ReplyDeleteA refreshing post for a weary traveler. I love the red and white stripped tea pot for one. Really, really cute. Blessings, ~d
