With the expected severe weather headed our way,
I brought in tender plants from the terrace.
Just inside the French doors in the dining room,
the buffet is perfect for more cheerful flowers.
Richard Ginori Palermo Brown, our wedding china,
still delights even after all these years.
adds a little touch of Chinoiserie style, and the Royal Check
ribbon and butterfly mimic the theme of the centerpiece.
The White By the Gate camellia bushes are blooming in my garden. I've been snipping the blooms and buds to bring inside
before the cold, wet weather turns them brown.
I also used fresh curly parsley, radishes, and carrots
in honor of Mr. McGregor's garden.
The vintage linens embroidered with pretty blooms
are a nod to what's to come in spring.
I'm serving the Meyer Lemon herbal tea by STASH.
After trying it for the Monday Morning Blooms Winter Citrus post here, I find myself selecting it again and again.
The lemon flavor delights!
The little sugar spoon with the bunny was one of Monnie's baby spoons that my mother-in-law gave me early in our marriage.
Needless to say, it's a treasure I keep out and use.
The silver flower spoons are also vintage.
These mini tea scones from Trader Joe's are soft
and light with a sugar glaze and almonds.
Easy to assemble and made of heavy craft board,
they can be used again and again.
I kept the center piece simple using one of my
MKC Royal Check planters filled with grape hyacinths.
I added a few Beatrix Potter
English collectables around the base.
The adorable Peter Rabbit cup and saucer was a
thoughtful gift from a blogger friend last spring.
I filled it with a bouquet for the table,
but it is perfect for my evening cup of tea.
A blogging friend of long ago gifted me this charmer along
with a pair of eggs she painted with my beloved Quimper figures.
She is a very talented artist and generous, thoughtful friend.
I also added my sterling Petter Rabbit
teething rattles just for fun.
It's always a thrill when I find one of these.
Tea on Tuesdays.
Hop on over to join Mary and Pam
for tea at the links below.
Stay warm and cozy, my friends.
Hopefully springtime will arrive soon.

Be Still My Peter Rabbit-Loving Heart Sarah! Such an adorable vignette with your needlepoint Peter pillow among your MKC pots of tulips and spring bulbs! I always enjoy seeing your collections and you have so many adorable ornaments and vintage treasures…Monnie’s spoon, your trio of bunnies and silver teething rattles. Love your sweet hand painted egg too. So much to delight in, I keep scrolling up and down! 🥰 I have those Meri Meri PR wheelbarrows from years ago, I need to see if I can find them. 😉 Thank you so much for joining us today…such a treat on cold, frigid morning with the promise of spring! Stay warm & cozy! ☕ 🌷 🐇
ReplyDeleteP.S. I forgot to say I adore your first photo! ☕
ReplyDeleteSarah, my granddaughters and I are huge fans of Peter Rabbit. I will be sharing your post with them. They will take in every detail and will be commenting and asking questions.
ReplyDeleteYour inside garden is so perfect on these cold February days. The cheerful spring blooms in the MKC pots are a promise that spring will arrive once again. I adore your needlepoint Peter pillow, did you stitch it? Once again, your attention to detail is totally amazing! Your collections that you have assembled through the years are fabulous. The silver teething rattles, Monnie’s spoon, OWC ornaments, embroidered vintage napkins, and oh so much more delight my eyes this morning. Thank you for the spring cheer on this cold day. It is always a pleasure to share a cuppa with you, my friend!
Sweet things:) All of them.I am anxious to fill my PR vase with flowers..Maybe today a few:)I actually bought a PR chandail I love him so..Easter is late this year..perhaps my feet of snow will be gone;:)
ReplyDeleteGood morning, Sarah! I adore Peter Rabbit! When I had my first son, his nursery was decorated with the Peter Rabbit theme. My mom and grandmother helped me. They found a beautiful bedding set and found coordinating Peter Rabbit fabric for the curtains. It was all so pretty! I even have a Peter Rabbit teapot that my Dad and Mom sent me a bouquet in when I gave birth to my son. You have inspired me to get it out and make an arrangement in it. You have so many gorgeous blooms displayed throughout your home. What a wonderful way to brighten up these winter days. The teacup with the arrangement is so beautiful, and your wedding china is both pretty and elegant. The treats you are serving look scrumptious. I have so enjoyed my visit for tea, and I hope you have a happy Tuesday and wonderful week ahead! Shannon@Belle Bleu Interiors
ReplyDeleteIt's always a pleasant surprise to see so many new and wonderful treasures when I come to visit your blog, Sarah! The sweetest of all is the baby spoon that was Monnie's. Goodness! All the Made in Aurora flower pots are so pretty with all your tender, spring blooms. The tea and treats are perfect for lingering and chatting about all the pretties in the sunroom and dining room. Those little cardboard bunny/wheelbarrows are adorable. The bunnies on the tray look like they're scampering about. Happy teatime to you!
ReplyDeleteWhat a darling, cheery, and memory filled post, Sarah. It’s like springtime right inside your home and with a delightful teatime. Thank you for brightening my day with all your treasures.
ReplyDeleteOh my, Sarah! Greetings from the world of white -- and there is no one who would rather see the colors of spring than I! I especially love your Peter Rabbits (who doesn't love Peter?!) So many lovely touches -- the baby spoon, the pretty cups -- especially the bunny cup, the egg -- so many Peters! It's absolutely perfect.
ReplyDeleteLovely post - I love seeing all of your special pieces and how you display them!
ReplyDeleteSarah, such a lovely post celebrating Peter rabbit. You always amaze me with your fabulous collections. The buffet looks so pretty with your MKC vases and florals. Monnie’s baby spoon is a precious treasure. Your Richard Ginori Palermo Brown wedding china is lovely. The little bunny wheelbarrows are adorable. I would be honored to join you for this lovely tea.
ReplyDeleteSarah, this is just what I needed this morning. A fresh breath of Spring amid the freezing cold of a winter blast. It's a white out here! I've been looking forward to bringing out all the rabbits and bunnies, and this gives me permission to Hop out of winter into Spring!! Such a lovely post with all the beautiful blooms and tea time elements. Thankyou!!
ReplyDeleteI enjoy seeing all of your sweet Beatrix Potter's Peter rabbit and friends. I love how your sunroom and dining room looks like spring has sprung! If only, but you sure know how to bring it early until Mother Nature does her thing. Thanks for the inspiration!
ReplyDeleteSarah, I love the needlepoint Peter Rabbit. Did you do the stitching? Do you know where I could find one just like it? I enjoyed seeing your Tea party setup. Many beautiful pots and plants.
ReplyDeleteNot sure who this is, so I hope you see my answer. The Peter Rabbit needlepoint was a kit by Needle Treasures. There is currently one listed on eBay. It was an easy, fun project. I stitched my Peter Rabbit many years ago and had it finished into a standup figure.
DeleteI can't wait to show my sister Diane all your spring touches in the sunroom and dining room! Love the first photo, did you make the TEA ON TUESDAY cookies?
ReplyDeleteI am in need of Spring. We came to our Summer home in Pennsylvania and we have a doot of snow and frigid temperatures. Thank the good Lord we are only here for a week.
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed being in your house full of flowers and anything Peter Rabbit! I always enjoy all your Tea Time elements and incredible collections. Thank you for this breath of fresh air!

I forgot to tell you… I love that first picture! ❤️
DeleteWhat a delightful tea time with Peter Rabbit! Your sunroom sounds like a charming place to escape the dreariness outside, and I love how you’ve incorporated such whimsical touches with the Old World Christmas ornaments and Beatrix Potter figures. The menu sounds absolutely delicious, especially the orange cranberry scones! It’s wonderful that you’re celebrating the beauty of your garden, even in the winter months.
ReplyDeleteI’d love for you to check out my new post!
SIMPLY INCREDIBLE!!!!! pamela
ReplyDeleteWhat fabulous eye candy! One photo is more beautiful than the next. You have me so eager for spring. I think my favorite thing here are those vintage linens that are embroidered. That’s the kind of thing my mother used to do when she was a girl. I’m fortunate enough to have a couple of them and they are treasures.
ReplyDeleteI really enjoy seeing all your lovely collections! Your sunroom florals bring so much Sunshine and Springtime beauty!
