Texas Bluebonnet Blog Hop
With The The Lone Star Sisters
We invite you to join us for some springtime inspiration.
Easter comes at the end of March this year.
has me thinking of bunnies and beautiful flowers.
photo files of celebrations past.
~ Easter 2015 ~
Redbud blooms and an antique chippy iron
rabbit were the centerpiece for last year's Easter table.
Soft pink linens, our MacKenzie-Childs pottery,
and some fun new bunny plates
filled out the table for Easter Brunch 2015.
Stop by here for a look at all the fun details.
While the new bunny plates and
Ambiance Vintage Garden chargers
layered beautifully with the MacKenzie-Childs plates,
I also set the table with simple woven chargers
under each plate for our casual everyday meals.
For the centerpiece, Mr. Chippy Bunny
was paired with an antique French Jardiniere
filled with purple hyacinths and a collection
of hand painted eggs tucked in among the grass.
This table focused on textures and the colors of
fresh spring greens along with the
rich earth tones of the soil.
It was a refreshing change for me since I typically
use our MacKenzie-Childs dishes which are
a variety of pretty pastel shades.

~ Easter 2012 ~
We hosted a group here for
brunch outside on our terrace in 2012.
As you can see, this was definitely a pastel affair.
It was a perfect spring morning,
and "Hen and Chicks" was the theme.
I chose to use succulents instead of spring flowers,
because I wanted to use "hen-and-chicks",
a succulent that I fondly remember
growing in both my mother's and grandmother's gardens.
~ 2011 ~
Once again, pastels were the color of the day for
an alfresco setting of a spring luncheon.
Petite bunny creamers filled with flowers
did double duty at each place setting as they
served as both a napkin holder and a
party favor for each guest.

This post includes specific information about
the various patterns of MacKenzie-Childs Taylor ceramics.
and I apologize for the less than stellar photos.
my thought is this table might offer a bit of inspiration in its
simplicity and the use of the pussy willow branches
with Easter ornaments instead of fresh flowers.

Your tablescapes are always a work of art Sarah. I adore those darling bunny plates. I am with you in that I'd much rather celebrate Easter in April but no doubt you will create something lovely this spring!
ReplyDeleteHi Sarah! What sweet spring and Easter inspiration this is! You have a fantastic collection of dinnerware for your tablescapes! Wishing you a lovely spring season and Easter day! Thank you so much for sharing with us!
ReplyDeleteWhat wonderful tablescapes and so many ideas. I love all the pretty pastels. Also loving the redbud branches. Just beautiful! Great post.
ReplyDeleteSarah, all your tablescapes looks so beautiful. Love those bunny plates! The redbud branches offer the perfect Springtime touch. I guess we've had April like weather - it does feel strange to celebrate Easter in March!

Good Morning Sarah,
ReplyDeleteWhat an enjoyable morning this is and visiting your past and present tablescapes is such a joy and pleasure for me.
I am getting some tips and ideas from these posts for our Easter celebrations that will begin on Palm Sunday.
Jemma
I always enjoy visiting your inspirational tablescapes, Sarah! Each and every one is so gorgeous. It's hard to pick a favorite. I did love the darling idea of using the petite bunny creamer as a vase and napkin ring...so clever!
ReplyDeletePinning your beautiful tablescapes! I am going to borrow the idea of using the casserole stand as a tray filled with Easter eggs - great idea.
ReplyDeleteSuch a lot to look at here, Sarah. Each table had so much charm and so many ideas. I'm working away this week and left a house that had spring flowers around, but not a hint of Easter. I'll have to remedy that when I return. There's certainly inspiration in your photos. We don't have plans, yet, for Easter. There will be church and there will be lunch, for certain, and there may be an Easter Egg hunt for a little girl in our backyard.
ReplyDeleteNow, to go back to inspect each picture more thoroughly......!
You have so many pretty things..so charming..I wonder what your two events at your home will be this year?
ReplyDeleteThis year..Jacques' birthday is the same date..almost so we will go to my daughter's the eve and celebrate jacques..so no hunt..here..I will bring filled baskets there and desserts etc..
Oh, where to begin? I love all of your table settings..... a few things that caught my eye: Love your 3 tired checked flower pots, your polka dot flatware are adorable, love the idea of jelly beans in the sugar server (forget the name of it), love your collage photo of all the various MC patterns and the little bunny plates are too cute!! Now I have to go back and look at all the pics again (but first I have to get a tissue to wipe away the drool) Too, too pretty, all of it!!
ReplyDeleteSuch a pretty table, Sarah! You always have the perfect pieces for every occasion!
ReplyDeleteYou set the prettiest tables! Spring is here!
ReplyDeletehugs,
Linda
Such adorable tablescapes. The M C is totally awesome. I love so many of their pieces. It's a pleasure to view past and present tables. Such a joy to see so many pretty themes. Have a great weekend.
ReplyDeleteSo much inspiration in your post, Sarah! The colorful bunny plates add so much to the table. I ♥♥♥ your friend's tray of bunnies...would make a great centerpiece.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the weekend.
Sarah, what a treat to see your Easter tables from years past! Visiting from Lone Star Sisters ;)
ReplyDeleteSarah, you really are so talented with tablescapes and vignettes. Every year you do something new and beautiful!
ReplyDeleteSo glad you were part of the Bluebonnet Hop. :)
if anyone is sad this is the place to come to as just looking at the photos makes one happy!!!
ReplyDeleteSarah,
ReplyDeleteYour Easter table settings are all so wonderful. What great ideas you have for each one of them. I love the little bunny with flowers that you gave as table favors. The 2013 Easter collage just made me stop and stare at all the details. The dishes with the brown basketweave design is perfect for Spring and for layering with your white, green, and brown dishes/chargers. I love how all the patterns are connected by basketweave. I now have the urge to create a new Spring table setting.
Judith
What a terrific Easter parade, Sarah! I love compilation posts and you deliver so much inspiration. I really love them all, but there were definitely a few things that I would say I favor, like the sugar skuttle of jelly beans, the rustic bunny, all the florals & greens, and I really am drawn to the 2013 table as a whole. All beautiful!
ReplyDeleteLovin' your cute bunny plates Sarah! Have fun planning your parties:@)
ReplyDeleteLovely tables, lovely rabbits. Don't you love bunnies!
ReplyDeleteHow lovely to see your beautiful Easter decor all over again, plus your stylish friend's as well. I'm still working on St. Patrick's Day stuff & haven't given Easter a single thought. I'd better get busy! Thanks for all the inspiration!
ReplyDeleteSo happy to look back with you Sarah, your archives are so full of beautiful inspiration. I think your pretty pastels and Mackenzie Childs is the perfect look for Easter. You do have such a sweet collection of bunnies. No bunnies have hopped in here yet but your've certainly inspired me. Enjoy your weekend……….
ReplyDeletelove all this inspiration...so pretty..love all the bunnies....
ReplyDeleteAll of your Easter decorations and enchanting and so inspirational! Love them all!!
ReplyDeleteBig Texas Hugs,
Susan and Bentley
They are all lovely. I'd be thrilled to be a guest at any of them.
ReplyDeleteLinda
This was a fun look back at your Easter tables of yore. (I always wanted to say "yore" in a sentence -- ha!) You and RJ need to get together to talk about all that McKC pottery! I may miss the bluebonnets this year, although I hope not, but we will be there pretty soon. I'll email you to see if it is possible to meet.
ReplyDeleteDearest Sarah,
ReplyDeleteIndeed, in two weeks it is there again and gone are the bunnies and eggs.
Lovely displays you show here.
Enjoy the coming weeks and I do agree with you for preferring an April Easter!
Hugs,
Mariette
I so enjoyed a peek back through the years, Sarah! Some pieces and tables I remember, others simply make me smile from ear to ear. You have such a great sense of style and fun. Each piece is so original and says, 'YOU'!
ReplyDeleteHave a great time with your friends and the brunch. So fun! :)
Jane
Sarah, I loved your hop down the bunny trail! I prefer for Easter to arrive in April too, with more time between the leprechauns and bunnies and eggs. Your MacKenzie-Childs is perfect for an Easter table with their pastel rainbow of colors and pattern. It looks like you're enjoying some summer weather and temperatures. Hope you're enjoying some garden time. ♥
ReplyDeleteEvery time I visit I am entranced by your beautiful dishes. Your knack for setting a table is wonderful.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy a lovely Sunday.
Dear Sarah, your bunny table is awesome! I adore all your MCH's bunny dishes and I'm really envious, I love them!
ReplyDeleteHappy Easter my friend.
FABBY
I enjoyed viewing your Easter pics and getting ideas. I love your MCH dishes. Such pretty colors and scalloped edges.
ReplyDeleteYour bunny collection is impressive as is your creative ways of displaying them.
Oh my goodness...so many beautiful tables all in one post! You do have the prettiest collections!
ReplyDeleteHi Sarah, So much cuteness going on there for the last several years! Such inspiration, my favorite is the 2009 centerpiece. Although I adore the handpainted eggs too! Thanks for sharing! I need to get in gear and do a Spring/Easter post.
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful week,
Gina
I adore those darling bunny plates and remember being tempted to purchase some when you first show them. I'd also rather celebrate Easter in April especially since our beautiful weather will be turning cold again. Your bunny collection is impressive!
ReplyDeleteWowsers, Sarah! I love all your Easter decor!!! You are my inspiration to decorate for Easter, but unfortunately I won't have it up long because I decorated for St. Patrick's Day and Pi Day!
ReplyDeleteI'm so stealing your idea for using MacKenzie-Childs plates as chargers with the bunny plates.
BTW I agree about celebrating Easter in April. We have too many family birthdays, St. Patrick's Day, and our anniversary in March!
Happy Easter and Spring, Sarah! You have a gift, my friend.
xo,
RJ
We are all so in love with your bunny plates! Love seeing your pretty Spring vignettes! Happy Spring sweet lady. Hugs, Diane
ReplyDeleteWhat fun to see your Easter table settings for the last few years. You'll never guess what caught my eye - it looks like you have Sir Christopher sterling flatware, one of my favorite patterns. Thanks for all of the inspiration!
ReplyDeleteKaree
Lots of pretty table settings here. I'll be hosting the family for Easter dinner. I prefer Easter in April, too, but I'm happy to celebrate it whenever it comes.
ReplyDeleteSuch pretty Easter ideas, Sarah! I like your idea of filling the bunny creamers with flowers for each guest to take home. I did not decorate for St Patrick's Day this year as Easter comes so close behind it. I will be having my family for Easter dinner. I make deviled eggs and shrimp cocktail as appetizers, fresh manicotti and gluten free lobster mac and cheese for those who eat gluten free, a baked honey ham, a roast turkey breast, asparagus, roasted cauliflower, fresh peas, and stuffed mushrooms. Of course there will be an Easter egg hunt for the grandchildren. We usually still have snow outside so it has to take place inside. It's fun!
ReplyDeleteHello Sarah,I love hopping down your bunny trail so much. Each year brings inspiring Easter loveliness. Thank you so much for joining Blue Monday at Backyard Neighbor. Your post is delightful from start to finish. I am hot on the bunny trail to get my Easter decorations out of the attic. Big smile here Sarah.
ReplyDeletexo, Jeanne
I sure enjoyed going down memory lane seeing each year's tablescapes and decorations. Lots of inspiration! You have such a nice collection of bunnies and Easter decor!
ReplyDeleteHappy Easter!
Katherine
Your table settings are stunning! Thanks for linking them to the Easter Inspirations Linky Party!
ReplyDeleteWhat a joy to be an invited guest at your Easter table Sarah!
ReplyDeleteI love your table settings and decorations from the years you've shown us and they are all delightful!
I must remember this party for next year as I'm not organised enough to put one up yet!
You have inspired me to get started - thank you~
Shane
Happy Pink Saturday, dear Sarah. You always inspire me with your gift for beauty and grace. Spring is m favorite season of the year, and Easter is my favorite holiday. I admit that my spirit is sagging a bit this year with all that is going on, but this visit to you put a big smile on my face. Thank you for sharing.
ReplyDeleteThis post is being featured on my Pink Saturday post this week as "the one that caught my eye".♥
Oh, Sarah! I love all of the beautiful tablescapes! Thank you for sharing. You are one of the features at the Anything Blue Friday party at The Dedicated House. Here is the link to this week's party. http://www.thededicatedhouse.com/2016/03/anything-blue-friday-week-105.html Hope to see you again at the little, blue soiree! Have a lovely weekend. ReplyDeleteWhat inspiration!I am loving all of the beautiful pastels after the stronger colors of winter. Thanks for some great eye candy.
ReplyDeleteSarah, I visited your post last week but became so blissfully lost looking at all your links to past tables that I never came back to tell you how much I enjoyed your collection of tables! I loved your hens and chicks idea and as I have several weekends in April and May with guests in my house I will use your table as inspiration. And I did not know all the history of M-C dishes, and being such a fan, I am thankful for the info! This group of Texas bloggers is so sweet and interesting. I wish we had a similar group here, but until I find one I will enjoy these posts. Linda
ReplyDeletewhat a pretty table you set! I very much enjoy your Easter Plates with the fun bunnies on them.
