Unmarked Desvres Figural Salt
As are our sweet young French friends,
Monsieur Jean Marc and Mademoiselle Sophie.
Jean Marc loves to talk to Sophie's sweet little yellow finch, but young Sophie worries that her little birdie may take flight and not return to it's own special birdcage where he lives in Sophie's home.
Unmarked Desvres Figural Salt
So here she is patient and at the ready
should the little finch take flight.
And yes, here comes more feathered friends to join the feast.

No doubt he got word of the party and
definitely didn't want to be left out.

ReplyDeleteI'm so glad you popped over to visit my picnic earlier today.
I love your bird tray.....where did you purchase it??? Can I have one of those yummy looking cupcakes....I can already taste!
ReplyDeletexoxox~ Tonya
Tonya, thanks for the visit and the sweet message you left. I've had the bird tray for many years. It was purchased from a designer. There is no mark other than four Chinese characters within a box. These are all red. The tray is porcelain and the rim is metal. It's a very heavy piece. I first intended to have a base made for it and use it as a side table, but never got around to that project. Have to say it is a lovely piece that I enjoy. Wish I could pass along more information to help you find one.
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend. ~ Sarah
Sarah, I somehow missed this post, but I'm so glad to have found it now. Love all of your wonderful French pottery. Love the Quipmer -that lady with the flower baskets especially stole my heart. The Becassine and Faience are wonderful too. I'm going back for a second look. laurie
ReplyDeleteSarah, what a cute and wonderful table scape and way of writing about it.
ReplyDeletelove those crows.
I'm working on a crow 'treasure' myself. (no, it's not in a frame.) =0)
Thanks for coming over.
I know what busy looks like, but if you'd like to join us for the challenge, you can use things you are already working on if you'd like. Several are doing that.
Blessings on your day.
