March is always a time to celebrate
here at Hyacinths for the Soul.
Sadie Mercedes came to live with us.
When we adopted her on March 10, 2012,
our life was immediately filled with a new joy.
Here we are getting to know each other that first week.
She arrived a shy little girl,
having been left at the Austin Humane Society
by previous owners who for some reason
could no longer care for her, her brother, and her parents.
Luckily for us, Wee Rescue
rescued her from the Austin Humane Society
and fostered her until we showed up at a
Saturday Wee Rescue Meet and Greet.
It was love at first sight!
Sadie loves her toys and brings them
to us when she wants to play.
She likes us to throw them for her to retrieve.
Then she brings them back and wants to play tug of war.
A girl after my heart, her favorite toy
is her Courtly Check bone.
Sometimes she gets a bit mischievous and pulls
things out of the closet wanting to play.
I'm always finding socks scattered about upstairs.
Sadie has the sweetest disposition, loves to snuggle,
and is always right where we are.
And this girl loves to eat!
Our hearts are full of gratitude
as we celebrate five years!
I'm pleased to announce the winner of the
MacKenzie-Childs Green Flower Market Vase is
Bonnie @ Living With Thanksgiving.
Congratulations!
Bonnie, please send me an email so we can get
this pretty vase to you for those spring bouquets.
Look for the Traveling Totes to return June 1st
with new adventures and a new give away.

ReplyDeleteThere is just something about a dog's unconditional love! I am glad your Sadie found a very loving home with you.
ReplyDeleteSadie reminds me so much of our dear Miss Molly, whom we lost very unexpectedly only a few days ago. She looks like a real sweetie and I just know she'll bring you as much love and enjoyment as you'll bring to her.

ReplyDeleteJudy
She's a beautiful girl and you make great portraits of her. The one with the blue flowers is my favorite.
ReplyDeleteI always love reading about your sweet Sadie and seeing your cute photos, Sarah. I know she brings such joy to your life. I also loved reading about YOU as the featured blogger at Michael Lee's party last week. Happy St. Patrick's Day! 🍀

Sadie is the sweetest looking thing! I am hoping to get a puppy when we move.
ReplyDeleteSarah,
ReplyDeleteShe is beautiful!! Since Joe is now retired, we are thinking of getting another dog. It has been several years since we lost our Savanna but I think we may be ready to open up our hearts again. If we do decide to get another dog, we will work with a local No Kill Shelter that has such great reputation. Thanks so much for stopping by!!
Hugs,
Deb
She would have captured my heart as well. What a sweetie!
ReplyDeleteDearest Sarah,
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on your five years with sweet Sadie Mercedes!
She is one lucky girl for having found her forever home.
On St. Patrick's Day we celebrated our eldest cat boy Barty's 13th birthday. The eldest pet I've ever had!
He had some problems with over grooming but with a steroid injection he's doing well.
Always worrying when your little ones are not well... We never want them to suffer!
Sending you hugs for a happy weekend and we're so glad we got over that final frost this week.
Mariette
