~ Springtime Simplicity ~
I shot the photo of this lovely table setting
at Marburger Antiques this spring.
Such a simple idea,
and so easy to replicate.
The random bottles
could be filled with flowers,
but I rather like them empty
with the occasional stopper added.
Did you notice that
these stoppers are door knobs?
Place settings of
vintage white china,
each piece a different pattern.
White linens with ruffles
to flutter in the breeze,
and gauzy slips over the chairs
make this table setting
Simplistically Stunning!

Sarah,
ReplyDeleteLove this so much! Gorgeous and simple yet elegant! I can see this at night with some candles too! Great table and photos!
Miss Bloomers
Pretty! I like the ruffly tablecloth, too.
ReplyDeleteLOVE IT Sarah!
ReplyDeleteI like that LONG BOX in the center of the table. AND I always go crazy for creamy whites. The bottle stoppers being door knobs is SO CLEVER. """BUT""" My very favorite thing is the clock bottle stopper...I """ALWAYS GO NUTS""" for clocks and that is FANTASTIC!
Thank you for sharing, NOW I have a new thingy to look for!
Big Hugs,
Donna
This table truly inspires me, Sarah! After stepping outside of the box and doing a busy, color filled tablescape this week, I am ready to go back to pale, simple dishes and less crowding on the table. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteXO,
Jane

I can imagine this table under a pergola on a sunny summer afternoon. Who would need food?
ReplyDeleteThat's a fun idea! I'd love to see a single bloom in each bottle:@)
ReplyDeleteI agree with Pondside but I would also add some twinkly lights.
ReplyDeleteThat is so pretty just like it is.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great look! Love the long skinny box filled with bottles. I am so sad at some of the great bottles I have thrown away over the years....including a Watkins vanilla bottle that both my grandmother and I used. Anyway, wonderful inspiration! Linda
ReplyDeleteSarah,

So pretty! I have that on my "to do" list to make a pretty ruffled table cloth like that! Simplicity is always so gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteWell Sarah dear, as you can guess, this is to me perfection! I love the look and it makes me want to start a vintage bottle collection (and I really don't need to collect anything else!) and have a box like that built from reclaimed barn wood. Some day perhaps.
ReplyDeleteI have to get Marburger one of these years!!!!
Love and hugs - Mary
Omigosh, the bottles. I have such a hard time leaving any of them behind. Marburger is the best when it comes to display.

ReplyDeleteThank you for your visit.
Isn't that a wonderful idea!! I love it. Love the door knobs too! Thank you for stopping by Take Six, Sarah! Have a wonderful day!
ReplyDeleteThis is really cool. I could totally imagine doing something like this at home! I like it with the empty bottles, but I think it could be really slick with various blooms plopped down into the bottle, too. This would be a great way for someone who is not skilled at flower arranging to make a big impact.
ReplyDeleteSarah,
ReplyDeleteThis is such a lovely centerpiece. I love Marberger b/c of all the great take-home ideas. Thanks for sharing. Dianne

ReplyDeleteWhat a unique table setting, I love it!
ReplyDeleteI agree. That is one gorgeous table setting.
ReplyDeleteSimplicity is the most stunning tablesettings - brilliant idea to line up the bottles - top some with door knobs and to set the table with mismatched white place settings - gorgeous - I appreciate you sharing with Home and Garden Thursday,
ReplyDeleteKathy
I agree that it's simply stunning. Love the simple vintage look of the old bottles and door knobs in the wooden box. Great display.
ReplyDeleteI don't remember if I asked you...did you get anything at the antiques show?
Sarah, this is simply beautiful! when that first picture came up, I said to myself, door knobs in bottles. So brilliant! I love the idea of that long wood tray. I was thinking of asking Danny to make me one, but then I started thinking about where I might store it when it wasn't in use. Since I can't sew, I need to find someone who can make me a wonderful ruffled tablecloth. This is a pin-worthy inspirtation. Love it. laurie
