Rita @ Panoply, the lady who keeps us organized and on track.
Welcome to our Spring Tablescape Blog Hop.
Once again, a big shout out and thank you
to our leader, and hostess,
We have 16 tabletop stylists joining the hop today.
Links are at the bottom of this post.
Mountain Laurel's are dripping in purple blooms,
Texas Redbuds are bursting with delicate pink flowers,
and Bluebonnets are popping up in great numbers.
The temps have been unusually warm since late February.
The snow and ice of January left the garden looking sad,
but things are beginning to grow, and the fresh green
growth is a welcome sight indeed!
We are still weeks away from Easter, so my table may transition several times before because I like to play with dishes.
Today's table is set for four, a ladies lunch.
Each day, I look at the beautiful Texas Redbuds bursting with their charming, delicate pink blooms, and they are my inspiration for today's feminine and fanciful table set with Williams Sonoma Famille Rose porcelain.
We have an oval, gate leg table in our dining room, and I
most often just use a natural runner down the center
with individual placemats at each setting. Today, I used a MacKenzie-Childs Courtly Check runner atop a
natural linen runner from my favorite dealer, Arte Italica.
This plate stack rests on a lavender petal velvet
placemat by Arte Italica, made in Ukraine.
The color and elegant floral design are a nod to the Asian inspired traditional Chinese porcelain dinners and salads in the Famille Rose pattern from Williams Sonoma.
Pewter chargers are by Arte Italica.

Take a closer look at the plate stack details so you can focus on how the layers of textures, colors, and various materials
lend interest and beauty to each person's placesetting.
These carrot inspired treat bags were purchased years ago, perfect to use on spring tables as flatware and napkin holders.
Antique silver flatware with mother of pearl handles are faves.
Use collected pieces for added texture, interest, and fun!
Spring plaid napkins were chosen because I love plaids all year.
Remember to have fun with your tables!
Speaking of fun, I added this little
blue birdie just for a touch of whimsy.
It's vintage Mark Roberts.
Glassware is our tried and true Arte Italica pewter wine stems and iconic La Rochere Bee motif glasses for water.
Each place setting has MacKenzie-Childs faux spring blooms within egg shapes and a small chocolate bunny
sitting in a sprinkle of "Easter grass" within pewter egg
cups that feature a bunny on an oak leaf.
Here is the yellow version with stripes.
The centerpiece is a simple mix of flowers, a cute salt and pepper set, and eggs decorated in Chinoiserie style.
The salt and pepper set was found at Home Goods this year.
Marked, Spring Collection by Corner Ruby.
The eggs are some of my favorite Easter collectables.
The two emu eggs were hand painted by Pippa Goetz,
years ago when she was first offering these unique eggs.
The large ceramic 3 piece egg is another piece from the
Williams Sonoma Famille Rose Collection.
The buffet is styled just for fun with
Easter needlepoint and other collectables.
I added a couple of bunny needlepoint
pieces in my faux bois chairs.

Sarah, I always enjoy seeing your collections for the holidays and seasons and your wonderful Easter egg collection is no exception. What a beautiful table and adorable carrot treat bags. π₯ Your petal placemats are wonderful framing your plate layers and I love the pop of black and white from your Courtly Check runner. Your ‘Egg Hunt Champ’ trophy is adorable too! I know you’re missing the companionship of your sweet Sadie. As always, it’s a treat to join you at the table and hop with you. Happy March! ππ©·
ReplyDeleteSarah, the Famille Rose is such a beautiful and classic pattern. I love how you brought out your Asian-styled eggs for the centerpiece. The Arte Italica placemats are so pretty, either and both colors, and the whimsy of M-C pattern play and those carrot gift bags as table decor, along with that Mark Roberts bluebird, take the formality to fun in an instant. I blew up every photo to catch all the wonderful details - the pewter bunny egg cups and salt & peppers, and all those gorgeous little needlepoint bunnies on the buffet. Oh my, your handwork is so fine. I love the figural shaped bunny pillow, but loved seeing the sjp 1987 best on the other.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for bringing your wonderful collections, vintage and new, to these blog hops. I always enjoy all the detail.
Good morning Sarah. I love the Famille Rose pattern with the pink border and the fabulous egg. Your collections never cease to amaze me. The petal placemats from Arte Italica are charming. I must say the carrot treat bags add that perfect touch of whimsy which I look forward to on your curated tables. You never disappoint with the all the wonderful details that are always a major part of your tabletop designs. I know you miss your sweet Sadie. It is always a pleasure to join you at the table. Happy Spring πππ©·
ReplyDeleteApart from your collection..That wall hanging is beautiful..I was saddened to see the passing of Victoria Mackenzie-Childs..:( poor Robert..I thought of. you.Needlepoint bunny is so so sweet...
ReplyDeleteIt's always a pleasure to see your lovely tables. I adore the placemats and they add such charm and whimsy to your table. Have a wonderful spring - I was thrilled to see your blooms as nothing is budding here yet!
ReplyDeleteSarah, what a delightful table! Love your charming rabbits, carrot treat bags and lovely floral accents! Happy spring!
ReplyDeleteSarah your tables always make me linger to enjoy all the different elements that comprise your styling. I don't want to miss a single thing such as your MKC courtly check runner and I have to say my preference would be the green Arte Italica placemats, but both are pretty. I feel your pain with Sadie...I lost my little white pom, Jesse James last year and I think of that little 5 pound ball of fluff every day. He was 20 years old and he was the little bandit that stole our hearts.Happy Spring!πΈπ¦π°
