Gratitude ~ Thanksgiving 2021

Thanksgiving 2021 

Another table for two this year 

with a focus on gratitude.

I happened upon a these pretty 

salad plates at a local consignment store.

Queens Made in England, $6 for the pair.

I thought the pheasant pattern would offer 

the perfect theme for our Thanksgiving Table.

I paired them with Robert Stanley's Home Collection dinner

plates that feature a border of plaid ribbon and pine sprays.

The green rimmed chargers are by Zrike.

I tucked a Crown Linen Designs pine cone linen napkin 

between the charger and dinner for a little added detail.

A generous friend on Instagram sent me 

the gorgeous champagnes with the colored glass.  

She found them thrifting in Vail this summer, knows I

embrace the color orange, and sent them my way.

Bonnie also sent me a pair of vintage Fritz and Floyd

pots d'creme, another of her thrifted finds.

I used them as votive holders to add a

touch of candlelight to our table.

A pair of hand crafted metal 

tussie-mussies filled with fall foliage

were added at the side for a touch of whimsy.

I filled an antique oval 

ironstone tureen with flowers.

Then placed the ironstone on an oval brass tray 

that I stacked on top of a large oval black

tole tray with a border of golden leaves.

I added more feathers around the base 

along with some large golden faux acorns.

Dinner was a simple non-traditional meal.

Spinach Salad and Split Pea Soup

I carried the pheasant theme on to the dessert buffet.

The beautiful ironstone tureen is Pheasant by American Atelier.

 I filled an antique English silver piece with yet more feathers.  

The antler handle on this piece stole my heart at first sight.

A delicate antique demi tasse cup and saucer held another votive,

 and the brass leaf dish held Durham's Pumpkin Pie Almonds.

I made my guy his favorite ~ Libby's Famous Pumpkin Pie.

It's the tried and true recipe found 

on the label of the Libby's can of pumpkin.

I had bought a key lime tart earlier 

that we had been enjoying during the week.

Pumpkin pie isn't my favorite, 

so I opted for a slice of this tasty tart.

My niece made us decorated cookies

in acorn and leaf shapes.

The detail and icing designs on these yummy treats

officially make them works of art.
