Welcome to the St. Patrick's Day Table Setting Blog HopIf you are here from my friend Jenna @The Painted Apron, I know your enjoyed her Green Table. Jenna is amazingly talented!
I'm thrilled to join this entire group of talented tabletop stylists to share our table inspiration for St. Patrick's Day.
Neither my husband nor I are Irish.
We don't officially celebrate St. Patrick's Day,
but I usually bring out the green for a tablescape.
I titled this year's table, Lucky in Life!
It's all about celebrating with gratitude for all we have.
Last year I was extremely lucky to snag one of the
limited edition Lucky Check Clover plates
produced by MacKenzie-Childs in Aurora, NY.
It's absolutely one of my favorite pieces
and was inspiration for my
St. Patrick's Day tea tray last year.
Lady Luck was on my side again this year when
MacKenzie-Childs offered another limited group of these beauties.
Lucky Me, now I have a pair for our table for two.
I filled our Olfaire Cabbage Leaf tureen with grocery store blooms.I love the Raffine Dianthus for a touch of lavender among the mass of green and white.Green Ball Dianthus ~ Green Ranunculus ~ White Alstroemeria I also added kale, a tip from my friend, Mary @ Home is Where the Boat Is. Great filler for less than a dollar a bunch!
I immediately pulled out my new Crown Linen Design
dusty pink ruffled velvet placemats.
They are the perfect base for my Mackenzie-Childs stack.

Chelsea Luster Luncheon Plate
Lucky Green Check Clover
Irish Crystal Stem
I used my new Crown Linen Damask Silver napkin rings
with Crown Linen black and white check napkins.
The beautiful Chelsea Luster
plates are dated 2005.
Lusterware was popular in Victorian England and uses
copper luster that becomes iridescent with age.
The flower details are hand applied decals.
Do you see the buzzing bee?
The Irish Coffee mugs were a lucky Goodwill find.
They are rimmed in gold and have an
etched shamrock for good luck!
I thought you might enjoy an Irish Coffee
before hopping over to visit
St. Patrick's Day Table
Thank you for stopping by.
I hope you'll leave a comment and let
me know how you celebrate.
A big shoutout and thank you to
for organizing this group hop.

Swoon, Sarah! I don’t know what I love more, your gorgeous flower arrangement in your cabbage leaf tureen or your beautiful plate layers of your Chelsea Luster plate topped with adorable Lucky Green Check Clover! Lucky you indeed, both the clover plates and Irish Coffee mugs. I’m smitten with your ‘Lucky Charm’ Irish boy too! Thanks for the beauty and fun this morning. So happy to see you part of this hop. ♥♣
ReplyDeleteI love the Lucky Charm collage!! Wonder how you did that. Great centerpiece in the cabbage leaf...A pleasure to see all.
ReplyDeleteRuthie, the Lucky Charm collage is from Bobbie @ rollingihllscottageandstudio on Instagram. You can buy her downloadable kit for $10. Her projects are great fun, and she provides step by step tutorials on her IG fee.
DeleteEverything is so fabulous for St.Patrick's Day or any spring day Sarah! the Irish coffee mugs were a super find.
ReplyDeleteLove the kale idea - must remember that - and the entire green and white floral display is really fabulous. I can see you and M enjoying some special Irish inspired meals on those dishes too.
I took out my very minimal collection of St. Patrick's Day decor yesterday - soon will hang the shamrock flag from the pole and shamrock front door decor etc.
Hugs - Mary
Beautiful, Sarah! Your table is so well-appointed, consistently. I told you I would dilly dally long enough not to score one of those gorgeous four leaf clover plates, and I have mixed emotions in reporting I was successful in my dilly dallying. Having one leads to wanting two, of course, and I'm happy you now have a pair. Those Chelsea Luster plates are also beautiful, are those an M-C ceramic as well? You can't go wrong with Crown Linens for a fine and finished look as you've done. I love your vintage elements you've added also. Slainte!
ReplyDeleteSwoon Sarah! Your plate stack is gorgeous! Lucky you to have not one but two MKC clover plates! I was so tempted to buy one, and when I finally decided I would it was too late, they sold out in a day! Your flower arrangement with kale in so pretty, and I love the Lucky tags you have placed about. The soft pink velvet mats are lovely. St. Patrick's Day is special in our house, it's my granddaughter's birthday! ☘️💕☘️

Sarah your table is gorgeous. I especially love your cabbage bowl filled with luscious blooms. The kale is a nice filler. Your Chelsea Luster plates are gorgeous. loving your lucky clover Mackenzie Child's plate. I did order one from one of the stores you mentioned and they just ran out, so now I am looking again. The crown linens are so pretty with your plate stack. Always a pleasure to join in. Happy March and Happy upcoming St. Patrick's Day.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful table, Sarah! Every piece works together so well and the cabbage bowl is perfect for March and St. Patrick's day, too. Love the diversity of the plates and the beautiful spring green. It makes me smile. Big!
ReplyDeletewhat a pretty table. I loved that MC Shamrock plate! I will have to remember the kale for adding to a bouquet of flowers, good tip!
ReplyDeleteSarah, oh-my-goodness, your centerpiece is a stunner! Wowza! Kale, gotta remember kale for next year. I'm a little green with envy of your MC collection of tableware. The black and white checks on my table are the poor woman's version lol! Of COURSE I noticed the bee --- even before you asked. Lucky you to find those great glasses at Goodwill too. Thanks so much for joining my little party, an absolute pleasure to have you.
ReplyDeleteSarah, what a beautiful table with your lovely china, and new lucky check plates. And the cabbage flower vase (so envious of it) filled with flowers and kale is very clever.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad for the opportunity to blog hop with you.
Wow! What amazing treasures you have! You certainly were 'lucky' to get those beautiful Mackenzie Childs shamrock plates. All or your plates are so lovely, as is your gorgeous floral display!

ReplyDeleteOh, Sarah, your table is absolutely beautiful. I love it all and pairing the green with the black and white is perfect. I always admire your tablescapes and gave you credit in my post a couple of weeks ago for something that I copied from you. I love those Crown Linen Design (which I had forgotten the name when I wrote the post, so thanks for the reminder) placemats and now I see your napkins so guess they will come next. Thanks again for all the beauty..Stay well..xxoJudy

I hope you have a nice St. Patrick’s Day!! Happy to hop witH you💚
ReplyDeleteYour centrepiece is trulystunning! I can't ever recall seeing green ranunculus before! Those McKenzie Child plates were quite a find! Lucky you indeed. When I found out MC home base was just a few hours drive from us I couldn't wait to take a day trip. Then, Covid closed our borders so I will have to pack my patience!! Happy St.Patrick's Day!
ReplyDeleteSarah, I am impressed with all of the table settings in this blog hop. Love seeing all of the green after seeing white for so long. Neither Joe nor I are Irish, and like you don't officially celebrate St. Patrick's Day, but I bring out the green glass vintage pieces I inherited for a tablescape. SLAINTE!
ReplyDeleteIt's all about celebrating with gratitude for all we have.
Sarah, first off, I'd like to say what a pleasure it is to "meet" you on this hop! I am swooning over your centerpiece in the cabbage tureen...I can't believe you found the flowers at the grocery store! Adding the kale was a great idea. I'll have to remember that! Being a big fan of vintage, I loved your charming vignette with the vintage inspired ephemera. And the plate stack with the MC plates and the Crown Linen placemats and napkins is gorgeous! The shamrock coffee mugs from Goodwill were a great score. I'd love to pull up a chair at your table and sip some Irish coffee! I'm so glad you joined the hop :) Happy St. Patrick's Day!
ReplyDeleteSarah, I'm late visiting, I am not getting your new post emails for some reason. I saw this while hoping around visiting parties. I am joining you saying so much gratitude for a safe year. You were lucky to score the MC limited edition clover plates, they are gorgeous. The cabbage centerpiece is stunning as are the plates in the stack. Love how you mix the Goodwill finds into your table setting. Another lovely table........
