America the Beautiful

America the Beautiful
Celebrate the patriotic holidays of summer
and indulge your patriotic spirit.

Fill your favorite
blue and white container
with blooms from your garden.

Set a festive table,
and dine in patriotic style!

Memorial Day Weekend
It's the prelude to the patriotic holidays of summer.
The perfect opportunity to pack a basket
in anticipation of a picnic.

Gather together some of your
Red ~ White ~ Blue

Spread your quilt and enjoy a picnic
at the lake, on the beach, your favorite park,
or where ever your heart desires.

Memorial Day
A time to honor all those
who have given selflessly to their country.
From the Civil War soldiers
to those fighting today on foreign soils,
we remember the men and women who have died
while serving in the US Armed Forces.

  1. We will be celebrating tomorrow on the beach with our entire neighborhood. I am making my "street famous" chocolate chip ice cream sandwiches.

I love the flatware in photo #5. Do you remember the brand?

  3. Good morning beautiful Sarah! So nice to see you over at my post, and here with your bright and happy colors. I remember my uncle who served in WW2 and was a great man. When he passed on, the church was full to the brim, with people standing in the street, waiting to get in. He was a veteran, had the 21 gun salute...but what he was remembered for was his huge and generous heart, and for always leaving the door open on the weekends for friends and neighbors to come in and have a meal, a drink and a lively conversation.

Love that bird at the end! Happy hugs to you dearest Sarah! Anita
