Thank you, Michael Lee!
The Creepy Sprinkles
were the perfect ingredient
to make this centerpiece sparkle.
The biggest challenge for me
was finding the Moon Pies.
Walmart provided the source,
and once in hand I went about
gathering the other ingredients.
Halloween Inspired Cake Ball Sticks
Orange and Black Icing
Oreo Cookies
Brown M and M 's
Candy Corn

This is such a quick and easy idea
that I plan to use it for other holidays.
I think the possibilities are abundant.
I had fun with this project
while at my sister's.

Your moon pies turned out great Sarah, such a fun centerpiece! Love that cool witch head too:@)
ReplyDeleteHappy Owl-O-Ween to you Sarah! Your treats are adorable and the possibilities ARE endless for the holidays! The striped cake pop sticks are so festive too! Our World Market has mini MoonPies. I haven't been by Cracker Barrel recently but they used to have them in multiple flavors :)
ReplyDeleteSarah, I LOVE moon pies. They're a remembrance from my childhood. However, I've never seen any decorated so adorably as YOURS! You did such a great job with the MIC. I will decorate some for my grands, but will have to go to Cracker Barrel for the moon pies. They're too cute for words! xo
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun post! I love what you created with the Creepy Sprinkles and moon pies.
ReplyDeleteYour centerpiece is just adorable, Sarah!

ReplyDeleteLove this fun idea for Halloween Sarah and I know someone who will love it even more, Connor! I’ve never seen a child go to such lengths to secure his “sprinkle” love! I’m going to be on the look out for moon pies now so we can make them together. See you soon!

Oh yes, you had fun doing this one, I can tell! How nice your sister was there, too.
ReplyDeleteI think the moon pies look darling & like Jain, I've never bought them either. I will have to remedy that situation SOON!
It is so much fun to see what everyone does with the mystery ingredients! You had such a cute idea to use Moon Pies! Around my house, they probably would not had lasted very long!!
ReplyDeleteWhat an ingenious idea to use Moon Pies Sarah ~
ReplyDeleteI love how you decorated them and how you created such a clever tablescape for them with all of your unique Halloween decorations. Truly memorable! Thanks for sharing and happy Foodie Friday (with sprinkles)! xo
So clever and creative Sarah! I can see you had so much fun with the secret ingredient! I agree, I think this could be the inspiration for many tablescapes to come :-)
ReplyDeleteYou did a great job, Sarah! I thought it was going to be apples, when I signed on, boy did I get fooled! I like that ML is changing it so we buy the ingredient. That way it is open to everyone who wants to do it. I am in a sugar coma from all those sprinkles! :)
ReplyDeleteCayute...I love the test tubes those are adorable Sarah. Happy weekend to you my friend. XO
ReplyDeleteOh how fun and so cutesy creepy. I love Wicked!...Christine

ReplyDeleteWe love Moon Pies in our neck of the woods, and yours are the most gorgeous I've ever seen. Can't wait to make this with the mystery ingredient. Thank you so much for participating again, Sarah. I've tried to comment several times, but we're having internet problems. Hope this goes through. xx
ReplyDeleteHappy Pink Saturday, Sarah.
ReplyDeleteMoon Pies! My mother loves Moon Pies, and these are adorable. I see some in our future.
Thank you for the fun and tasty inspiration.
As always you set the most amazing tables Sarah. I love visiting your blog and seeing what you do for each holiday.
ReplyDeleteKaren
What a fun idea, Sarah! I don't think I will ever look at a Moon Pie in the same way again! I'll see worlds of possibilities instead of just an accompaniment to an RC Cola! lol Thanks for sharing at the Scoop!...hugs...Debbie
ReplyDeleteWow! Great job! I love all of your creativity!
ReplyDeletePam
That was fun! Imagine the faces of children invited to that party! You always have the best take on things, Sarah.
ReplyDeletecute, cute and cute!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun idea to use moon pies. I just love it. And it does not hurt a thing that I love moon pies. Every thing looks wonderful. The centerpiece is marvelous, so much fun to look at. The black plaid plate is perfect for this place setting. Love the black and white bandana napkins too.
ReplyDeleteLove what you did with the Mystery Ingredient -- you were far more clever than I.
ReplyDeleteSo fun Sarah! You made such a great centerpiece. I almost bought the tube sprinkles yesterday. I stopped at a candy store to get caramel, anise, and black paste food coloring for Halloween. Passed them up, but they sure are cute! Thanks for sharing with SYC.
ReplyDeletehugs,
Jann
This is simply adorable! And I love the owls and will have to remember how you made them for my friend who is a Chi-O. Just SO cute.
ReplyDeleteI am trying to blog today with a broken paw. Long story, but after the wild ride of this summer, I fell and did a number on myself. Sending you much love as I have missed you and your wonderful posts. Thanks for the smiles.

Now that is a great idea! I love the way you embellished the Moon Pies, and I love your sister's vintage Halloween décor. That pumpkin is just like one we had when I was a child. I think my sister has it now. Love that witch on a stick too. I'm going to have to try embellishing some moon pies. Thanks for inspiring me. laurie
ReplyDelete"Owl" have to pin this! So adorable.
ReplyDeleteYou are so very creative!
Hugs,
Patti
Such cute moon pies! LOVE them! Life to the full! Melissa
ReplyDeleteSarah, check your email. I emailed you with my phone number. Would love to see you! xo
ReplyDeleteHow much fun, Sarah.....I love that the secret ingredients are sprinkles and Moon Pies! You can find Moon Pies in every convenience store here in Alabama....they are even thrown from Mardi Gras floats @ Mardi Gras parades in Mobile, Alabama.
ReplyDeleteI know you had fun with the challenge once you found the Moon Pies. Your creations are so cute!
xo,
RJ
This looks like it was so fun, Sarah! I always love the decorating part when it comes to baking! What a neat centerpiece all gathered together!
ReplyDeleteOn another note, Sarah...I have been contacted by a few bloggers wondering why I hadn't been visiting. What I am finding is that I am not on their Followers list anymore, therefore they don't come up on my blogroll. I realized I hadn't been to your blog in awhile and so I checked, and sure enough, I had to sign in again as a follower. I don't know how this is happening or why. I have to mention it on my next post. I will never be the type of blogger that simply sends emails, all of you ladies are my favorites to visit. So sorry.
XO,
Jane
Oh Sarah, I LOVE OWLS. They hold a very special place in my heart for several reasons, and your first photo just about made me cry. My mother painted the dearest picture of an owl, but I lost the piece in all the shuffle of moving back east for school. It kills me to know I will never see that oil painting again.
ReplyDeleteTHE BOO HOUR IS UPON US! I just love this time of year for the back to school feel, the chill in the air, the scents of cinnamon and falling leaves. Enjoy all that you celebrate dear one and thanks for coming. Anita
What fun and delicious looking treats, Sarah! I haven't eaten a moon pie is ages..I wouldn't even know they still make them. I will have to check the local Wal Mart for them. The ones you decorated like owls are so cute!
ReplyDeleteHi Sarah! Just wanted to let you know that your Moon Pies are featured on my blog! Thanks so much for sharing at The Scoop! Hugs...Debbie
