Sarah, your dinner on a tray looks delicious! I love the pretty blue linens. They look great with the dinnerware and stemware!
ReplyDeleteLove the pocket:-) super idea...sweet inspiration.
ReplyDeleteThat is about how we eat our dinner every evening....we enjoy watching the news or old reruns....
ReplyDeleteThings change as you get older and it is just the two of us....
This is not your typical tray! How beautiful with all of the pretty yellows and blues. I think that is one of the happiest color combinations. You can come cook for me so I will eat more healthy foods!
ReplyDeleteSarah- That looks gorgeous. I HAVE to find about these Meyer's preserved lemons that I see mentioned all over. YOour meal sounds wonderful! xo Diana
ReplyDeleteOh, my Sarah! How absolutely lovely! I have a tray up in the attic; when it gets to a 'reasonable' temp here in south Louisiana, I'll have to get it out! (Back in WI on Monday). Thank you for such a lovely, as usual, post!
ReplyDeleteSweet Mister and I probably eat on trays three out of seven nights a week. He likes to watch televiosn...don't tell...and I love to pamper him. CherrybKay
ReplyDeleteLove your simple dishes and really like the little pockets for the flatware. I think I need to make some little pockets.
ReplyDeleteI think many of us eat dinner from a tray at some point in the week. We do too, but my tray isn't always as pretty as yours! Of course, I love yellow and blue together, so found your tray setting very appealing, and the meal delicious-looking!
ReplyDeleteYour tray looks so pretty. I love the napkins and they go so well with everything. Food looks yummy to.
ReplyDeleteHave a great day.
Mary
Good Morning Sarah, You have made eating supper on a tray very inviting. I love the colours blue and yellow and the design on the plate is lovely.
ReplyDeleteI am waiting for my preserved lemons to mature and then I will be cooking with them. I will certainly try them with salmon, as salmon is a fish I really enjoy.
It is always a pleasure to visit you.
Best Wishes
Daphne
Sarah, Your potholder mitts are genius for a flatware and napkin holder! The perfect color too, blending your pretty French patterned linens and plate! Dinner on your tray looks wonderful! Thanks for the reminder to break out the Meyer lemons :)

Your dinner on a tray is lovely! The linens are so pretty!
ReplyDeleteWe never do dinner on a tray, dh likes to sit at the table. He won't even sit at the island and eat!
Hope you are well and the weather is cooler. It was very hot here yesterday, cooler by the weekend they say!
Sarah, it looks like that china would coordinate great with Quimper. Your tray is so pretty, and is that a napkin folded to hold the napkin and flatware? Love the way you did that. laurie
ReplyDeleteYour dinner on a tray is gorgeous, Sarah!
ReplyDeleteWould love my dinner on your tray!!
ReplyDeleteHi dear Sarah, I love your tray scape and you've made it look so special. The darling potholder makes such a cute flatware holder.. so creative. The colors and patterns just look like the south of France. Your dinner looks so healthy, too. xo
ReplyDeleteHi Sarah! Oh, your dinner looks so good and your dishes are lovely. We rarely sit at the table either, except when company comes over. But you use trays and we just use our laps! :) Thank you for popping in to see me.

Dinner on a tray...sounds so mundane, but your tray, dishes, and meal are anything but mundane. Lovely presentation of both the tray setting and the meal. I love salmon!

You are right - dinner on a tray CAN be lovely. And you've proven that here with your setting for one. Everything you've used is beautiful. Makes me feel a little better that I'm not the only one NOT eating at the kitchen table every night. ;)
ReplyDeleteXOXO,
Meredith

I would love to eat on a tray occasionally, but I don't have trays (sad, I know), and am clueless as to where to find one this lovely. Your linens are gorgeous, and I want to know how you folded those darling flatware pockets. Very nice!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great way to share your dishes. This looks so pretty and elegant. And your meal looks so delicious! Love it!!
ReplyDeleteOh Sarah, you are making me want to dress up my table SOON on a cold autumn night! I make a wonderful salmon and white bean stew with saffron and I think it would LOOK lovely in my white French tureen!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for coming to visit! I am teaching at the secondary level now and I AM LOVING IT. I no longer teach at the French immersion elementary school where I had to teach ALL subjects in French (it was a rich experience) but now I'm only teaching FRENCH and for me, that is what I have always wanted to do. But we all need an extra 10 hours a day to do what we wish, don't we?
You are just a sweet friend, and thank you much for visiting. Until the next time, Anita
One of my favorite color combinations!...The dinnerware and linens are so beautiful...I hope to find some beautiful ones as yours when I travel to France next week!...
ReplyDeleteSarah, I just ♥ all your Frenchy happies...so very classic!
ReplyDeleteWe made the Grilled Salmon With Preserved Meyer Lemons last week, in the little foil packets & it was delicious! Tell your chef 'thanks' for the tips.
Hugs,
Rett

ReplyDeleteI wanted to invite you to the Friday Flash Blog Party, the best linky in town! I hope you'll join us and link up. Who knows. You may just get highlighted!
