Garden Club Luncheon




I hosted my Garden Club 

for lunch on the terrace this week.

It was the perfect time to pull out my 

MacKenzie-Childs Flower Market Serving Pieces.




I filled my small MacKenzie-Childs 

serving stand with Courtly Check  

pots full of springtime blooms.






The Flower Market Enamelware 

is covered in glorious color.





The serving pieces inspired my 

choice of blooms in the centerpiece.




~ Yellow Daffodils ~ Lavender Carnations ~ 

~ Blue Delphiniums ~ Mixed Anemones and Ranunculus ~




I used a variety of plates 

by Spode and Wedgwood.




Vintage silver baskets 

held stacks of napkins.




The silverware was 

rolled within each napkin.




Wild Rice Chicken Salad

Mixed Greens with Fruit and Nuts 

Tossed with Brianna's Dressing


Blooper Alert:  
Somehow the kitchen spoon ended up in the serving bowl 
while the silver serving tongs were left by the side.




Iced Tea with Lemon Slices and Fresh Mint 

and a Tray of Thumbprint and Chocolate Cookies




I forgot to take photos of the tables out on the terrace,

but I used lavender cloths and simple centerpieces.






I used my MacKenzie-Childs fluted compotes 

 and placed a preserved boxwood ball in each one.

 This makes a quick, easy centerpiece, and no added expense 

 since these are pieces I already had on hand.

    Sarah, once again you have created such a lovely, welcoming table for your guests. Everything is perfect for a garden club! I am crazy about MacKenzie-Childs anything, but I do not own any of their pieces (wish I did). Love the serving stand with the pots of flowers - just gorgeous!

    Oh my, where to start? I love your dishes, the way you lined your salads with pretty lettuce, the fact that you were on your terrace (still very cold in PA), and your dessert sounds delicious! Your guests are very lucky people! Happy Thursday form the enchanted oven.

    What a lucky bunch of Garden Club ladies to be hosted by you, Sarah! Your MC dishes are stunning and you coordinated the flowers so perfectly to their pattern. The preserved boxwoods look so cute on the compotes. The food is presented so artfully. I want a bite of it all.

    Hello Sarah!! You made me smile!! Those are beautiful and colorful dishes and flowers...it must have been so fun to pick out such beautiful flowers to go in them!! That whole spread looks marvelous..oh I bet y"all had so much fun! The blue and white plates are lovely, and the napkins and baskets just yummy.     Hi Sarah, Your MacKenzie-Childs serving pieces were a perfect choice for your Garden Club luncheon. Such a lovely way to display the beautiful flowers. Speaking of flowers, the pattern and colors of the enamelware are beautiful. Lovely details and I love the blue and white plates. Lunch looked delicious! Boxwood balls always make for a lovely centerpiece and I’m sure your guest enjoyed eating on the terrace.

    Your dishes are so perfect for a garden club luncheon...the flowers are so pretty and I loved the way you tied that little tiny ribbon around the crisp white napkins, and the lovely vintage holder for the napkins, so pretty...wish I could come to your luncheon the food look delish....

    I love the 3 reasons why to use the boxwood balls: quick, easy, and no additional out-of-pocket expense! Works for me!!! I don't know about you, but money isn't growing on trees on my property! :-) The lavender color of those tablecloths is really striking! Wow...just beautiful! I love the mix of flowers, too, and how you presented the flatware. Gorgeous and seemingly really efficient serving stand!!! I hope your group had a good time. Goodness knows the atmosphere was right on!!!

    Wow, you have a fortune in MC products. They are beautiful and I am in love...with their stuff, not their prices, so I have to paint my own to get their look. Your spread is perfect and I know everyone loved it.
