Yummy! We'll have peas, greens, and cornbread tomorrow. Thanks for stopping by my blog and leaving a comment. Yes, I did make the burlap wreath. It is burlap twisted in and out of a wire form from Michaels.
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year!
Your black eyed peas look sooo good. I'm saving the recipe to make the next time I make them. Love the addition of tomatoes and the Rotel. I'll bet that really makes the dish. We'll have Georgia caviar(black eyed pea salad) turnip greens, pork roast and corn bread.
ReplyDeleteHope your New Year is filled with good health and good times, too.
Hugs,
Babs

Dear Sarah,
ReplyDeleteI wish you and your a happy new year. In Germany we need to eat Sauerkraut on Silvester to have money in the new year. I hope it will work.

Still smiling over that sweet picture of Sadie! I cannot believe it, but I have never had black-eyed peas, Sarah.
ReplyDeleteI am not a pea fan and only eat a few types of beans so I am sorry to say I have never had them! Your first photo makes it look amazing though!
Just thought of you this morning when I opened a page of the new Country Living and a home featured is owned by a brunette woman with the same exact name as YOURS!
:)
Thinking of you and wishing you a very happy new year.

Your recipe sounds delicious Sarah. I love peas and I usually cook for New Year's Day. I make an adjustment to my soup pot to to add peas for this very special day. Your recipe sure serves up pretty!

ReplyDeleteWe love black eyed peas. I made them, collards, pork tender loin, and corn bread. Wishing you a blessed new year, Olive
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for the birthday wishes....I sure had a nice one. I put all my photos on my desktop and a day later, the computer just died. Now, I can't get the photos off...I deleted them off my phone, OF COURSE.:(
ReplyDeleteThen,on top of all this...we didn't eat our peas until TODAY, the 2nd, so we will have one day of BAD LUCK...OH DEAR.....
I can't wait to try the Blackeyed Pea Soup even though I missed the 1st. In the South, Blackeyed Peas and cornbread are always appropriate, aren't they.
ReplyDeletePlease, don't make me eat peas, or beans! Just jelly beans! :)
ReplyDeleteThe peas are literally looking at me:-)
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year.
Looks like the perfect way to start the New Year!

Happy New Year Sarah, I ate my peas and greens too. Hope it works! :)
ReplyDeleteDelicious, Sarah! I love the sleeping Yorkie. Mine are curled up on my feet--the Yorks do love their beauty sleep, don't they?!
