  11. Perfect table for just two....which is what me and the Boss will be next week...I like to think of us like Ina and Jeffrey Garten on the holidays when we don't spend it with the girls....it's hard when your family only consists of four members and we are a thousand miles apart...But Christmas will be spent together so it will be a very happy holiday!!

  41. Oh, you have set a gorgeous Thanksgiving table. I'll copy you as we will be just two, since there's no celebration of Tksgiving here, but we do, as I am American and my family is not near, mother went away to visit her sis in law 3 hours away, my bro is not here either, so it'll be me and hubby. Beautiful amber turkeys and the dishes have such pretty colors. Love the gorgeous vintage accents and everything is so elegant! Thank you for your kind and generous comments dearest and sweet Sarah, wish we were together for Tksgiving, the four of us, I mean. Have a happy Thanksgiving.

  49. Such a beautiful post Sarah............you really are the queen of tablescapes, making everything look so pretty and inviting.....and the food looks awesome too!

I really was sad that I didn't have the time, or inclination, to do a traditional Thanksgiving this year.......and now I'm suffering pangs of guilt knowing I'll be gone for Christmas and there'll be no decorating or baking going on around here! Life has become a whirlwind of travel, but that said, I did see awesome Venice and so much more, and have to squeeze it all in somehow while I can!

Happy days dear - hugs, Mary

  51. Oh I could eat that turkey every day! PINE NUTS AND SPINACH???YES! I am "addicted" to spinach salad with loads of walnuts!

Sarah dear, I hope your celebration was lovely! We had our first snowfall of the season RIGHT when dinner was being served so it was a miraculous moment. Thank you for your kind words of encouragement and I have to say that a year ago, I would have never dreamed that I would be doing what I am currently up to. Life can be a fun challenge.

    Have a great weekend! Anita

  52. I so enjoyed my visit to your table from a past year. All the elements are there, and I'm sure this year's table was just as pretty. You're right - it's important to be as thoughtful and imaginative for two as for a crowd.
