Let's Dish ~ Sara's Flowers
It's no secret that I admire
the beautiful ceramics of Vietri.
I've shared previous posts on
The salad plate in the
place setting shown in this beautiful
table set at one of my favorite local shops
is part of Sara Bellini's beautiful series, Sara's Flowers.
The colorful Italian ceramic
sits atop a square glass plate in deep purple,
followed by an exquisite
Annie Glass dinner plate with ruffled gold edge.
The beautiful stack of plates sit
on a round charger in woven rattan.
Love the juxtaposition of elegant glass pieces
with the casual look and feel of the pottery and rattan.
More glass serving pieces accented with gold,
delicate crystal stems, and purple tumblers
add to the richness of this tablescape.
Love the gold embossed details!
Individual place cards will make
each guest feel special.
Especially when the details on the
card mirror these exquisite orchids in the centerpiece.
This particular plate features a pot of Lilac blooms.
Lilacs don't thrive in the Texas heat,
but I've other beautiful flowers
blooming in my spring garden.
Come back to visit on Friday, June 1st for
Favorites on the First @ Polohouse
when bloggers will share their own gardens.
I'll be spotlighting Sarah's Flowers.

Another belle table, Sarah. I must ask: Do you keep all of that fabulous tableware at home? If so, you must have the largest kitchen cabinets to be found this side of the proverbial pond... Veronique (French Girl in Seattle)

Thank you for the thoughtful compliments, but I was just the photographer on this one. All the pretty tableware in this post was inventory in a local store.

ReplyDeleteI love Vietry, too. The Sarah's Flowers is new to me. Thanks for the introduction. Have you checked out the Vietri Optic goblets...they are wonderful and reasonably priced. Thanks for inviting us for a peak. Cherry Kay
ReplyDeleteBeautiful tablescape. I love Vietri.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely gorgeous tablescape!
ReplyDeleteVery interesting tablescape. Love the textures and depth of color. You're lucky to have such a special store in your area.
ReplyDelete- The Tablescaper
You find all the hotspots in town.
ReplyDeleteThat looks like a store I need to visit the next time I'm in your area! Would you mind sending me the name of it? I always love seeing Vietri pieces -- and usually need to touch them, too!
ReplyDeleteWhen I first saw the plates, I thought the flowers on them were hyacinth and thought, "Oh, wow...she found hyacinth plates at a place called Sara's! How cool is that??!?!" I do see now that they are lilacs, but it's still cool! I had no idea lilacs weren't a staple in Texas. They're all over the place here in Spring! I'm looking at some white Dutch lilac here in my office as I type! Your glasses are beautiful. I love the gold detailing on them. And whatever that gold leaf serving piece is on that cake stand(?)...it is p-r-e-t-t-y!!!!!!! The ruffled gold edge of those dinner plates is fabulous! Wow...such pretty details for a gorgeous table! Enjoy your weekend!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteThe dishes are so beautiful, you must have them, your name is on them!
ReplyDeleteI covet the place cards, they are lovely!

ReplyDeleteI have always drooled over Vietri. Your table is very pretty!
ReplyDeleteSarah~ I love Vietri, I used to get a cheap thrill popping in the showroom in Atlanta at market to see what was new & drool! What a vibrant design~ I wish we cold grow lilacs here too, too hot. I keep thinking they'll introduce a variety that's more heat tolerant, I'll keep my fingers crossed! Hope your garden is overflowing with blooms :)
ReplyDeleteThere are so many beautiful details here , but your dishes are the star! It all looks very sophisticated together.
ReplyDeleteSo I just made the same mistake! Read first leap later! haha! Have a sweet weekend, Sarah!

Sarah,
ReplyDeleteI think I mentioned to you in an email how lovely your home and garden are, but just in case I forgot (our chats have been fun) it really is so pretty. I'm encouraged by the flowers and plants in your yard and will tell my son and DIL how many more things they can grow.
Karen
I'm with you when it comes to Vietri creations. One of these days I may even be lucky enough to own some. I keep looking at TJ Maxx, Marshall's, etc. hoping to find a few pieces at lesser price.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful. How wonderful that you have a Vietri pattern named for you! All of those gorgeous stacked dishes, and aren't those placecards lovely. laurie
