The above photos were taken by my brother-in-law's friend, Karen Moore. She just happened to look out her window to see these night feeders at the humming bird feeder.

Okay, the bats are really scary. I think I prefer the black paper cutout ones. Love your halloween decor. I would love to eventually have postcards to display for every holiday. Wouldn't that be fun? Thanks for visiting.

Hi Sarah!
ReplyDeleteI have never seen pink bats before! Were they really pink? They look translucent!! Wow!
Hugs,
Penny
Those bats are quite astonishing, When I first saw them, I thought they were crafted out of some pink netting. Amazing pics; I've never seen anything like that!
ReplyDeleteI had trouble getting on my own blog tonight (Tuesday), so don't know what's happening. Never has before, so guess I'll keep an eye on it. Thanks for stopping by and leaving a comment about my mosaic, and letting me know about your trouble. Sandi
ReplyDeleteOMG Sarah,
ReplyDeleteThose bat pics are so freaky and yet so cool! Love the pink witch too! Cindy
Amazing photos. I never would have thought the bats would go for the hummingbird feeder. Strictly on scent because they wouldn't see them very well. Wow. So translucent and Halloween scary looking.
ReplyDeleteWow that is the coolest thing I have seen in ages!!! But were they really that color???? We once had over 500 bats in one of our chimneys!!! Our cat and our son (who was little at the time) kept trying to tell us !!
ReplyDeleteWhat a cute Halloween post! Those bat pictures are amazing!
ReplyDeleteYour comment about candy corn reminded me of my candy corn story and that I should have posted it, so I did! Here's what I added:
Candy corn story – We don’t usually get any trick or treaters in this neighborhood and I had no candy to give out. Our doorbell rang at about 8:30 p.m. and about nine young teenagers were at the door! They didn’t have masks and were cute and clean cut. I told them all I had was one bag of candy corn and would they share it? They agreed to! I’m glad I bought that candy corn – only bought it for the tablescape, and it was buy one, get one! (I do like to eat it once a year, but it is pure sugar!

OMGOSH...What scary but cute little bats..I think I associate them with blood sucking little fellas but i think maybe they got a bum rap there!! :)
ReplyDeleteThe MINUTE I read your comment on my post, I DID remember that these large goblets ARE called Buttermilk glasses. I had forgotten all about that and am so so glad you reminded me of it. I am always on the look-out for more pretty Buttermilk goblets but seldom see the really pretty ones.
Thanks so much for this reminder...
xo bj
Oh, Sarah, those bats are so cool! I kind of have a thing for bats, but I'd probably be scared to death if I saw one up close like that.
ReplyDeleteI like your Halloween decor. You asked about my artichokes on my tablescape today. Yes, they are, indeed, real.
Hi Sarah
ReplyDeleteWhat amazing photos of the bats! Hope you're enjoying the weekend.
