Pink Zephyranthes Saturday

Zephyranthes-

Flower of West Wind

A Summer Haiku by Hyacinth

Dark clouds fill the sky

Sparkling droplets quench the thirst ~

New day of sweet blooms.

August 2009

Zephyranthes grandiflora bloom repeatedly in the summer, usually after a rain storm that follows very dry conditions.

Welcome to Pink Saturday hosted by Beverly @ How Sweet the Sound. A recent thunderstorm left a delicate pink surprise waiting for my discovery. I squealed with delight!

Happy Pink Saturday to all my friends!

  52. The pink zephyr lilies are wonderful. I've had a pot of these for more than 15 years. They were my grandma's. In the north, we bring them in when it gets cold and let the bulbs dry up and keep them in the basement until the next spring.
