November Tea of Thanksgiving ~ Tea on Tuesday

Welcome To
Tea on Tuesday
November Tea of Thanksgiving

Welcome to the November edition of Tea on Tuesdays,
a celebration of all things "tea" on the third Tuesday of the month!
I'm thrilled to join my friends Mary and Pam as a guest this month.

Thanksgiving is very late in the month this year,
and that always has me in a bit of panic to execute my Christmas decorating while still honoring and fully embracing
Thanksgiving, the Season of Gratitude.

Please join me late afternoon
for some quiet reflection with a cup of tea.
I've prepared a simple teatime tray,
a perfect way to relax and ponder.

A favorite Pumpkin Spice Rooibos from Trader Joe's fills my cup.
The cup and saucer are vintage, marked,  Maruta Ware, Japan.
Maruta Ware was produced in the 1950s.

The detailed turkey image repeats on either
side of the saucer with  fabulous detailed borders.

Packaged within a pyramid shaped sachet, the tea is warm and inviting, perfect for evoking feelings of gratitude.
The blend of Rooibos is combined with natural pumpkin
flavor, cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves.

Orange Cranberry Tea Scones
or Fall Vanilla Meringues?

I enjoyed one of the tea scones with my morning coffee,
so I'll indulge in one of these large, fluffy meringues.

I found bags of these large meringues at Home Goods.
They are made by Gotta B Sweet.

The vintage silver "tea for one"
teapot holds steaming hot water.

I filled this antique majolica pitcher with hydrangeas
because one always  needs fresh flowers.
Note the exquisite leaf details.

Ms Squirrel stands ready with
a stack of books if wanted.

A warm woolen throw is at the ready too, but sadly our temps
provide more than enough warmth for this time of year.

Tell me, do you like to spend quiet
time relaxing with a cup of tea?

"Attitude of gratitude brings you
opportunities beyond your concept"

"Sing a song of gratitude,
Dance a little, too .   .   .
Feel the autumn's magic
In everything you do .   .   ."

"Happiness cannot be traveled to,
owned, earned, worn or consumed.
Happiness is the spiritual experience of living
every minute with love, grace, and gratitude."

Relax, create a special
way feed your innerself.

Allow yourself to take time to reflect and enjoy this
Season of Gratitude.

Go ahead and sip your tea as you visit the beautiful posts
of Pam and Mary at the links below.

I wish each of you a blessed Thanksgiving,
dining with those you hold dear.

Happy Thanksgiving!

  1. Good morning Sarah, Your beautiful tea tray is perfect for enjoying a quiet moment this busy time of year. I love your vintage turkey teacup and saucer and your antique majolica pitcher is SO handsome! I don’t recall seeing it before and love the grapevine and leaf details, paired with your grapevine handled tray. Your beaded turkey pillow is a beauty too in your handsome faux bois caned chair. I hear you about the unseasonably warm temperatures this time of year. We’re on a warming trend this week and sweaters and boots are still packed away. I have mixed feelings about Thanksgiving being so late. On the one hand it allows more time for my favorite season but it does make for a harried December to kick off the holiday season. Thank you for joining us for tea this morning. I’m thankful for our friendship. Wishing you a wonderful week ahead. ๐Ÿฆƒ๐Ÿ‚๐Ÿงก

  2. Good morning, Sarah! This morning, I looked east and saw a red sky, and west, a rainbow. We are having rain, starting out with a mix, as the temps are near freezing. I'm enjoying my tea while enjoying your post and the others'. I agree, the calendar is sort of a collision of Thanksgiving and Christmas both this year. I found myself raking leaves yesterday morning and pulling out Christmas textiles in the afternoon, while my pumpkins and turkey pillow languish on the sidelines. This is a nice reflection on the here and now. Thank you.

  3. Good morning, Sarah! You have set a beautiful teatime with a cozy ambiance that I love. Your tray sitting on that gorgeous chair is perfect. The vintage turkey teacup is striking and the majolica pitcher is gorgeous! Of course, the beaded turkey pillow is one of my favorites. I will have a meringue and scone with my tea this morning. Thanksgiving is a time of reflection especially for all of our blessings. With it being so late, it makes decorating for Christmas a little frantic. Our weather is unseasonably warm, but we enjoyed a couple of days last week that were cooler.

It is always a pleasure to have you join us for tea! Wishing you a blessed Thanksgiving season!

  5. This is so cozy, Sarah, and so inviting. Are those little Lori Mitchells I spy in that last post? Charming! And I love your china.

  6. Nice dishes and the food looks good. The only negative here are the two creepy dolls holding knives while sitting on pumpkins. Dolls plus cutlery...nope.
