Thanksgiving is very late in the month this year,
and that always has me in a bit of panic to execute my Christmas decorating while still honoring and fully embracing
Thanksgiving, the Season of Gratitude.

I enjoyed one of the tea scones with my morning coffee,
so I'll indulge in one of these large, fluffy meringues.

Good morning Sarah, Your beautiful tea tray is perfect for enjoying a quiet moment this busy time of year. I love your vintage turkey teacup and saucer and your antique majolica pitcher is SO handsome! I don’t recall seeing it before and love the grapevine and leaf details, paired with your grapevine handled tray. Your beaded turkey pillow is a beauty too in your handsome faux bois caned chair. I hear you about the unseasonably warm temperatures this time of year. We’re on a warming trend this week and sweaters and boots are still packed away. I have mixed feelings about Thanksgiving being so late. On the one hand it allows more time for my favorite season but it does make for a harried December to kick off the holiday season. Thank you for joining us for tea this morning. I’m thankful for our friendship. Wishing you a wonderful week ahead. ๐ฆ๐๐งก
ReplyDeleteGood morning, Sarah! This morning, I looked east and saw a red sky, and west, a rainbow. We are having rain, starting out with a mix, as the temps are near freezing. I'm enjoying my tea while enjoying your post and the others'. I agree, the calendar is sort of a collision of Thanksgiving and Christmas both this year. I found myself raking leaves yesterday morning and pulling out Christmas textiles in the afternoon, while my pumpkins and turkey pillow languish on the sidelines. This is a nice reflection on the here and now. Thank you.
ReplyDeleteGood morning, Sarah! You have set a beautiful teatime with a cozy ambiance that I love. Your tray sitting on that gorgeous chair is perfect. The vintage turkey teacup is striking and the majolica pitcher is gorgeous! Of course, the beaded turkey pillow is one of my favorites. I will have a meringue and scone with my tea this morning. Thanksgiving is a time of reflection especially for all of our blessings. With it being so late, it makes decorating for Christmas a little frantic. Our weather is unseasonably warm, but we enjoyed a couple of days last week that were cooler.
ReplyDeleteIt is always a pleasure to have you join us for tea! Wishing you a blessed Thanksgiving season!
Sarah, your tea time is lovely, especially with so many pretty collectibles. Wishing you a happy Thanksgiving.
ReplyDeleteThis is so cozy, Sarah, and so inviting. Are those little Lori Mitchells I spy in that last post? Charming! And I love your china.
ReplyDeleteNice dishes and the food looks good. The only negative here are the two creepy dolls holding knives while sitting on pumpkins. Dolls plus cutlery...nope.
