Monday Morning Blooms
I'm always pleased and honored to join Pam, Lidy, and Mary
for their monthly flower posts on the first Monday of the month.
It's a Blooming Good Time!
Thank you, friends!
I'm passionate about fresh flowers and holidays.
Welcome to morning coffee with my turkeys.
it is truly one of my favorite months.
It's a crisp, cool morning.
November was ushered in with a burst of rain
Halloween Eve and all day Saturday,
but the sun is shinning on us now.
I started with pulling out my brown transfer ware
pieces collected here and there over the years, and
filled them with autumn colored blooms for you.
The large pitcher was purchased with a
serious crack in the back, and doesn't hold water.
I filled a small vase with 3 bundles of
"Emperor's crown" tulips,
popped the vase into the pitcher,
and problem solved.
I used fall alstroemeria to fill this paper
paper maché turkey basket using the same
trick of inserting a glass vase to hold the flowers.
Alstroemeria, also known as Peruvian Lilly are my
go to flowers because of their long bloom life.
I chose these for the orange, yellow, and ochre mix of color.
used in the "juice" pitcher.
For the petite creamer, I mixed in some tulips with the alstroemeria and you'll notice I scattered some dried
corn flowers about the bases of the different containers.
containers, baby pumpkins, and freshly fallen leaves.
Fall is the perfect time to forge for leaves, acorns,
and dried flowers to add to a tablescape.
The small vintage quilt throw was an estate sale find
and perfect for an alfresco tablesetting.
2023 John Derian for Target collaboration.
Just look at the detail on this sizable piece.
Exquisite!
the biscotti is Brown Butter Salted Caramel
around the flowers all morning.
This little bee is busy gathering
pollen from within the tulips.
for a little fall flower joy.

Cheers to a beautiful fall.
Please join me here again tomorrow for
November Tablescape Blog Hop.

Beautiful, Sarah! How I wish we had a Trader Joe's for beautiful seasonal color selections in not so seasonal varieties such as the tulips. Love those! Your turkey and transferware collections look so handsome for the season. Enjoy these nice days in the garden while they last!
ReplyDeleteGood morning Sarah, I’m happy to join you on the terrace with your vignette of beautiful blooms and handsome Tom turkeys! What a gorgeous light highlighting your display and ode to November and Thanksgiving. I know you were happy to see the sunshine, even though the rain was welcome. I’m smitten with your vintage quilted throw and transferware for your flowers. Your biscotti paired with your coffee sounds wonderful…oh to have a Trader Joe’s nearby… *sigh*. So glad your bee visitor found some pollen visiting your tulips. 🐝🌷Thank you so much for joining us for some flower therapy today. Hope you’re enjoying some beautiful weather like we are this week! See you tomorrow! 🍂🦃🧡
ReplyDeleteGood morning Sarah. I am delighted to join you on the terrace for French roast coffee and biscotti! You captured the most beautiful light on your Thanksgiving vignette. I immediately noticed the vintage quilted throw, the perfect foundation for your lovely display of transferware turkeys, and autumnal blooms. I love the stunning JD turkey pillow. Unfortunately we don’t have a Target or Trader Joe’s nearby. How sweet that a bee joined you! I will always be amazed at all of your collections and attention to detail.
ReplyDeleteThank you for joining us for Monday Morning Blooms and sharing your talents with us. Happy November!
As always, Sarah, your table is exquisite. I do love your collection of turkeys and of course the Derian is fantastic. (I tried to get the turkey; just have the chicken!). What a lovely and tasty table and your photos, with that fantastic light, is spectacular. Happy week!

A lovely post Sarah. Your collections always amaze me. Your blooms are lovely. Love the John Derian turkey pillow. I have one as well. How special to be invited again and again to share Monday morning blooms.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful, Sarah! Our Trader Joe's is an hour trip, but I always head to the florals first. Your turkey and transferware collections are lovely. I know you love fall and I
ReplyDeleteMy comment was cut off :-) I love fall too.
DeleteI enjoyed seeing your beautiful collectibles of brown and how you use them to display your flowers. Hopefully I'll get to Trader Joe's before Thanksgiving and I'll look for the biscotti. I do love it in the morning with my coffee. I can't believe I haven't been to TJ's since last spring! We had a lovely Halloween evening for all the little trixters. It's cool here now and perfect for doing a little clean up outside. I've pulled my John Derian and I have a few new ones for the mix. They are stunning. Have a wonderful week Sarah.
