Friends Till Spring

It's cold outside, there isn't much blooming, and soon the garden will be covered with winter blankets in anticipation of the arctic blast expected early next week.

But during the bleakness of winter, there are some friendly faces here at HFTS to warm one's heart till springtime flowers begin to bloom. As with my Many Faces of Santa post that you can view here ~ No words are needed.

Thank you to the ladies who are hosting each of the following memes. Please click the links below to join these weekly parties.

The summer we married, my husband was in graduate school, and I was employed as a teacher. We took a portion of our savings that summer and purchased a sailboat. We christened our Catalina 22, “Hyacinths For The Soul” after Saadi’s poem. Our "Hyacinths" provided years of pleasure.

  10. There's something about a snowman that always makes me smile..................friendlier than clowns (a lot of children, including my little 5 y.o. neighbor is terrified of them!), and as they are around just briefly (the real ones), I love seeing them in gardens as I drive by.

Nice collection Sarah - and perhaps we'll be building real ones this coming week - 6-8 inches possible again here!

Happy weekend................and be sure to go see The King's Speech if you have time - the most awesome movie in every way!!!!

    Warming hugs - Mary

  41. Sarah,
I LOVE your SNOWMEN! My Illinois penpal wrote years ago, "I don't put my snowmen out in my decor until all the Santas have been put away for the Season." It was great advice which I have followed since.
Snowmen really bring a smile to our faces when bleak winter weather sets in! Thank you for this adorable posts!
    Fondly,
    Pat
